I think it was there at RG, CC. Those Kohli/Monf matches showed that. He was just wrecked when he came up against Nadal on a good day on his best surface.

No it was still a very tame exit. He got hammered by Rafa who wasn't even drawn to any greatness. I do believe that is his heaviest defeat in a slam match of his career.
