Went well, thanks. The tennis has never been the issue - it's other stuff that I somehow seem to have been unable to leave behind when on the court and so it all gets mixed up together, with tennis being the victim, not the problem. I managed to keep a clear head today.

Good weekend to be fair, didn't do a wonderful lot and played a great board game on Friday night with friends (rock and roll) out in the pub on Saturday and did nothing yesterday... Good times

What does the week hold?

I need to make a power of attorney then get it stamped by Foreign and Commonwealth office, then rechecked by a lawyer in london before sending it off. So lot of running about ahead of me, and a few weeks without another break. My good humour is holding but barely. You leaving this week?

About three weeks untill D-day here mate, dealing with all the tail end of the cack and hopefully just chilling or working from homes for a few days!

Pretty lame weekend for me. In bed by 10 Friday Night, halfway through Match of the Day Saturday. I feel remarkasbly sprightly for what is my last week in this job.

Why are they heavily promoting the fact that the vinyl weighs 180 grams? Surely not a deal breaker for anyone. Why, even a child or a total mong like sean would be able to tell you the following:

It is often thought by many that a record pressed onto Heavyweight 180g vinyl produces a better sounding product. This is certainly not the case.

Some think that a Heavyweight 180g Vinyl 12″ for example would have a lower noise floor than a standard 140g, it doesn’t. Others think that a 180g 12″ has deeper grooves than a standard weight 12″, this is simply not true.

Whether you have your record pressed on standard weight vinyl or heavyweight, the pressing will use the same vinyl compound. It is the quality of the compound that determines the noise level in the pressing. The depth of the grooves will be determined at mastering stage by the cutting engineer, and the plant have no control over this during the galvanic processing.

This is the thing Jules. TSMR is playing all hard ball, but she bought me record player Saturday. She knows it is happening. Read some reviews of the ones she bought, sound is meant to be a bit ordinary but am not overly concerned about that, will run it through my amp and not use the speakers built in.
