WWE NXT Results from 7th December to 21st December

It’s revealed that Percy Watson, who participated back in NXT when the likes of Husky Harris and others were there, is now the third announcer on the announce team.

* Dark match: Tian Bing defeated Wesley Blake.

December 7th, 2016

* DIY come out but are interrupted by the Authors of Pain before they could event speak. Revival interrupt the Authors of Pain and they both want NXT Tag Team Title shots. The Authors shove the Revival and Paul insists that they will be the next champions. The Authors, then The Revival head back up the ramp. DIY leaves the ring without ever getting the mic.

* Alexander Wolfe and Eric Young defeated No Way Jose & Rich Swann after Big Damo came out to help assist Sanity. Afterwards Big Damo slams his SANity jacket on the ramp and leaves.

* Ember Moon defeats Kimber Lee.

* Heavy Machinery defeated Johnny Knockout (who you’ll remember as the guy Braun squashed that liked “big, sweaty men”) and some other enhancement talent.

December 14th, 2016

* There will be qualifying matches on the show with the winners advancing to a fatal four-way for the #1 contender spot for the NXT Championship.

* Qualifying match for NXT #1 Contender Title: Tye Dillinger defeated Eric Young by disqualification after Nikki Cross attacks Tye. Big Damo laid him out after.

* Qualifying match for NXT #1 Contender Title: Andrade “Cien” Almas defeated No Way Jose.

* Qualifying match for NXT #1 Contender Title: Roderick Strong defeated Elias Samson.

* Qualifying match for NXT #1 Contender Title: Bobby Roode defeated Oney Lorcan. Our correspondent at the event says that Roode lost a tooth in this match.

* Peyton Royce defeated Sarah Bridges.

* Shinsuke Nakamura defeated Patrick Clark.

December 21st, 2016

* Billie Kay defeated Daria with her big boot finisher thanks to outside interference from Peyton Royce.

* Authors of Pain vs Two Enhancement Talents. The match is stopped and medics are called after the Authors of Pain injures one of the enhancement talents with a double powerbomb of sorts. Paul Ellering gets on the mic and says they don’t care who they face – DIY or The Revival, they will be winning the titles in San Antonio at Takeover.

* 4-Way for a shot at the NXT Title (Elimination Style): Bobby Roode vs. Andrade vs. Ty Dillinger vs. Rodderick Strong. Fans chant “this is why we need to build wall” at Andrade. Andrade is eliminated first then Rodderick. It’s down to Roode and Dillinger. Bobby Rodde pins Ty Dillinger to get a future shot at the WWE NXT Title.

* NXT Tag Team Championship: Team DIY defeated The Revival.

What was the point in taking it off Nakamura in the first place?

I'd guess for the pop in Osaka. Least this way Joe gets the kudos of being the man who beat him
