Wow... just sent Flipper my "pick(s)" asking for an ad with a gorilla in it.

I actually haven't seen a UK ad for quite some time so I wouldn't have a clue.
I'm open for any recommendations otherwise I'm sticking with an ad with either a bear (polar or grizzly), gorilla, squirrel or hamster in it.
That should cover all bases.

Australian adverts are fantastic. Especially as they show local adverts on national channels, I’ve seen some brilliant shop owners staring awkwardly into cameras.

I have had some interest in Games gone by but when our team took 20 minutes to enter the stadium in the opening ceremony and when we cleaned up most of the bowling gold medals... I sort of took a few steps back from it all. A heck of a lot of gloating here...it's sickening really.

The poor Scottish bloke who ran out of petrol in the marathon was the last straw for me. Our guy just ran by... poor sportsmanship even though he has run 200km every week for the last 10 years or more. "Friendly Games"? My arse!

On your point: so many programmes from the early 90s look so awkward now. Here we had some quite popular comedy shows... thought they were so cutting edge back then... but now they hurt my eyes and ears when I see them replayed.

Same with sport. The 80s looks like 70s, 90s like the 80s... even early 2000s looks like early 90s sometimes... I could have sworn they didn't look so daggy* at the time. Now it's like they are wearing skin suits.

As time goes by it seems clothing/hair styles date more quickly... as does the quality of the film/video tape compared to digital quality.

*as in loose fitting gear with oversized logos.

The 2010 version of MS Word is brilliant. It's my favourite word-related entity, ahead of swearwords, Word Up by Cameo and Words by FR David. The only sh*t Office app is Powerpoint.

PowerPoint can indeed feck off, if anyone uses any special effects in it, I immediately get annoyed...

5-6 Bullet points on a chosen corporate background, with a title sheet, and 1 slide with "Any Questions" and that is it.

It is my least favourite point to sit through, apart from the one my primary school teacher used on my sternum.
