Certainly seem to recall that was where Son was ripping them a new one.

Spurs played well and some would say unlucky to go out, but if it's self inflicted by just switching off, is it really classed as unlucky?

To be fair I looked at Lichtsteiner and Asamoah coming on as a formation change because they needed two goals, not because they were struggling defensively.

Yeah. We said common sense should prevail and if someone is marginally over it shouldn’t be factored in.

We also said we should review the limit and set the punishment for season 2 at the same time rather than change it mid season.

We did also say that headings don’t count in the word count as they are just there to make it easier for the reader.

And we also said the reader shouldn’t factor it in when voting but highlight it to Miky.

Oh and my word count says mine are 197 words also.

For me marginal is a couple of extra words. When it amounts to a couple of sentences that's tactics that can influence the result of the game.

Tbh I’m easy. I can see it both ways.

I could write the same tactics and take out 20-30 words by writing WBs instead of wingbacks or Removing words like to and the (ie Chiellini pick up main striker, instead of Chiellini to pick up the main striker). Doesn’t change the message.

That's what I tend to do is remove the superfluous.

WBs is as many words though as wingbacks.

Is there some form of autocorrect on the PM?

My word document has wingbacks but on my message to Miky it is wing backs with a space. Explains 1 of the difference in wordcount.

I always make subtle changes to save words.

"Sabitzer and Bernard, both of you get down the flanks, either go outside their fullback and cross, or cut inside and look to shoot or link with Dzeko." = 28 words

"Sabitzer/Bernard, both get down the flanks, go outside their fullback and cross, or cut inside, shoot or link with Dzeko." = 21 words

It's the same message and there's no excuse for going over.

You mention something there that I always end up cutting, I always type 'look to' and then when I'm reading back through it see I've done it 4 or 5 times and remove them all.

I do my word count and then cut down in the same way to get under.

My problem here is that my word count on Word showed my tactics under 200 so I didn't bother.

Not sure what happened in the meanwhile, but Hero quite rightly then pointed out that it was over by 20-30 words (although the previous agreement was that the voter should point it out to Miky to punish rather than factor it into their vote, given that not all voters may spot it).

Happy to take the default loss btw if it moves us on.

I prefer to make sure that my tactics are easier to read. If it means im making less points so be it but I'd rather have a nice set of easy to read tactics than a couple of extra instructions in something that's difficult to follow

Nando, Olly, Tino - as Miky would like the remaining games played, how about we say we post up tactics by the close of tomorrow?

Could the other 6 of you split the voting between you i.e. 3 of you vote on mine and Tino's game and the other 3 on Nando v Olly?

Likewise, but given the change of players between now and then, it might just be simpler to go from scratch.

Otherwise Olly/Tino would need to know the squad at the week of the match.

I would actually prefer to not play them (it's not going to make much, if any, difference to the final table by the looks of things.

We obviously can't change the way we buy players halfway through a cycle, but next time it might be worth considering using this.
Young players are more expensive, and it only covers the big five leagues but I think it would work

Other issue is that site isn't particularly user friendly in creating lists of players as far as I can tell, so if I'm on the hunt for a left back due to an injury how do I search? Revert back to TM first?

I'd say for purposes of the new league you would only allow players in the big five leagues, which is more than enough.

It's just an idea, I'm not enforcing it. But I do think it would help the stockbroker issue we currently have

I don't think it'd help the stockbroker issue at all, each and every year new young players come along, the process would still be there of acquiring those players at an early point and then making profit on them as their stock rises. Some players it's picked up on such as Phil Foden at 15.1m but Angel Gomes is down as a freebie.

Got to agree with Hero.

If, for example, Phil Foden was next to nothing on this website at the time Hero bought him (which based on the Angel Gomes example is more than a possibility), then you have a £15.1m increase. This is worse than on TM, so only makes the issue worse

Scott McTominay is 13.8m and went up to that yesterday.
Wouldn't have taken much of a genius to have bought him on his debut and be quids in now.

I'd argue the case even that the stockmarket selling of younger players is open to more abuse than TM.
Dele Alli is 170.5m, Mbappe is 188.5m, Ronaldo though is 94.9m.

I think we need to start making some decisions, as the activity on the page is really dropping. I'm guessing that is because most are now treading water waiting for season 2. I think we need a decision on, (plus my own thoughts):

1. Outstanding game - this should just be chalked off. It isn't meaningful and is just holding up the league.
2. Prize money for season 1 - Miky may already have a clear idea of what it is. If not, I wonder whether it is needed or not?
3. Season 2 TP limit - again, I know Miky gauged opinion on this, but no idea what the consensus was. Me personally somewhere between £55-60m
4. When to start season 2 - With the bank holiday and Easter holidays, I think we should aim for starting on 3rd April, with lawyers on that day and first tactics due in on the 6th
5. Refreezing of TM value - i.e. when do all the player values unfreeze and then refreeze on their current TM value. I think this should happen on the first day of the season (e.g. 3rd April on my suggestion above

1. No comment.
2. I don't think prize money is necessary. Perhaps a small 10m boost all round but no more. Would be more interested in something that levels it out based on squad tm values.
3. As I've said to Miky, in my opinion the only way is to have no cap then end the league after season 2. If we set a cap of 55-60m there won't be anyone left in season 3 to go for anyway. Or not enough to justify a season 3.
4. Agree
5. I'd say sooner because all the values are fixed. For all we know tm may be halfway through updating leagues at that date. I'd suggest now tbh

1. Yes, seriously who cares.
2. Money wise I think most people should have a healthy pot of cash with price resetting of players.
3. Personally I think no cap, people state it shortens the length of the league etc etc, well we've always had caps and the leagues have always dried up, which league doesn't have caps, oh the one that's in its 9 season.
4. Sounds fine to me though I'd open up lawyers in the weeks beforehand to allow people to have started building their season 2 team.
5. Did the freezing actually do anything? Wasn't it put into place to stop the likes of me going for all the kids and making a hefty profit? Well that worked well.

yes some players have risen massively in price, but because TM has an agenda against any player hitting 30 there's some very very good players that are now affordable
