The Fabulous Gidman Boys

Very very well done folks!! Gidders (junior) is looking like an inspired signing, Gidders (senior) is playing some "captain's knocks", Saxelby is looking like a fine replacement for Kirby, and its great to see youth given a chance with Coughtrie, Dent and Young. We seem hungrier without Batty and Murali.
PS Fingernails are a bit shorter.

Chris - as a Surrey supporter, I had mixed fortunes in getting along to the Oval today.

I've put a brief review on the Surrey thread. As that's slanted from a Surrey viewpoint, only fair to praise the standout bowling of Saxelby and batting of A Gidman.

Although he only scored 10, Coughtrie also deserves a note of commendation. He batted very sensibly and supported Gidman well. Frustrating for us, vital for you.

Young also showed he's no mug with the bat and gave it the welly to see you home ....
