What a way to treat defending champion - Page 3 Empty What a way to treat defending champion

Post by Simple_Analyst Thu 23 Jun 2011, 9:50 pm

First topic message reminder :

With the bad weather and all the defending champion and world No1 Rafael Nadal has been put on court 1 and scheduled to play last. Put in a few 3 setters for the females, some rain and the defending champion might play into saturday as we saw for today. What a reward for the defending champion. Apparently as it was said for Murray, it will be unfair to have all matches played at the centre court.

I was talking about the OA and the fact that he would be put on C1.

Big deal, its still a show court.

What a load of Bull about "Who should play on which Court"

It's my ball and I'm taking it home - So There !!!!

Does it HONESTLY matter in the great scheme of things ?

The ONLY Player to have complained is Serena Williams ffs.

I wont bother to explain my point any further yummy ... Ive written my thoughts on it about four times on this thread... but there was a scenario (which as it happens did not materialise) when it would have mattered... and it would have mattered to you had it been Andy

Federer on Court1 against Youzhny on Monday.

http://www.wimbledon.com/en_GB/scores/schedule/schedule15.html

Edit: Now all of Top 4 have been on Court 1.

Murray - Day 3
Djokovic - Day 4
Nadal - Day 5/Day 6
Federer - Day 7

Del Potro plays Nadal on CC on Day 7.

Down to the last sixteen and we have
Court 18 - Monday

12:00
  Gentlemen's Singles - 4th Round
  Bernard Tomic(AUS) vs.   Xavier Malisse(BEL)

If anybody should be complaining it's them!

OK they aren't seeded but that must be pretty close to the car park.

It is a no suprise Federer Youzhny will be on court 1, there is no other option but for me the 2nd seed Djokovic against Llodra should be centre court instead of Murray's . Wimbledon should work on the highest Seed taking first priority on cc. 1,2,3... in that order. That is my opinion.

Don't worry Simple_Analyst should Andy get through on Monday I think it is a given his following match will be on Court One as it is guaranteed to be against an unseeded player. I'd be gobsmacked if it wasn't. Perhaps the reason his match with Gasquet is on the Centre Court is because their last match there was a five set classic.

Weird that if you the seed numbers together in Federers, Murrays and Djokovics and that of their opponents, it comes to 21.

Spooky Shocked

It's a show court though.

It's the 4th biggest court.
