So Amir Khan has taken to Twitter again, this time to give a good ol' spat about Kell Brook... in which Kell hasn't been too happy with.

Amir has said: "Kell brook is fighting a guy who has lost a lot of fights, @PaulMalignaggi beat twice 140lbs, if they say brook is good. Test him with a genuine 147lb top 15 not even top 10 fighter. #allhype"

Kell Brook has reportedly taken a moral high ground by saying that all UK boxers should support each other: http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/boxing/13928439.stm

I'm on the fence with this one, Kell Brook doesn't seem like a nice chap after giving some bar man a slap... plus he seems to be stuck in fighting lower class fighters, "stick him in with Mike Jones!" people say... STICK HIM IN WITH ANYONE I SAY! But hot diggity, does Khan get my back up now and again. Why can't Amir grow a back bone and give a little jip face to face with someone aye?

Anyways, where does Kell Brook go after his fight with N'dou (maybe a fight with Vyacheslav Senchenko for the WBA Strap?). Would a fight with Brook be "value" enough for Khan?

Khan is only speaking the truth. As for supporting UK fighters, well Carl Froch said live on Setanta News that he wanted Calzaghe to lose to Hopkins. If fighters dont like each other it just tough. Brooks a good Euro level fighter though but he wont cut it at the very top

Brook has not always applied himself in the gym so suspect those handling him have been a little loath to put him in too deep until his commitment is there. Seems he is now knuckling down but for me would be better to concentrate on getting himself a belt. Inevitable Khan will move to welter some point as he looks pretty massive at lightwelter, if Brook has a belt and keeps winning could be a very exciting domestic clash because neither fighter is short of confidence or is the retiring type.

Carl Froch was a man about it - called Calzaghe out, plus he wanted a little exposure off the back of Calzaghe's name. Would you expect Calzaghe or Froch or the likes of Tyson Tweeting he would eat Lewis' babies? It's absurd my dear Steffan!

I think Brooks can grab himself an alphabet title, but if he doesn't make the step up I fear he will be trapped at a "good euro" level.

On a different note, Paulie Malignaggi is having a funny row with Devon Alexander on Twitter today, after Devon called him out. Malignaggi just posted a photo titled 'Hi Devon', and it was Paulie giving the middle finger to the camera whilst fishing. Nutter, that bloke.

Khan's something of a poisonous little toad who'd stab his own gran in the back if it'd make him a quick profit. He's a guy who's benefited from careful matchmaking and who didn't even face all his domestic rivals. He's developed a reputation as a boxer who talks big but who tries to stiff his opponents when it comes to the purse, so as to accuse THEM of ducking HIM when they chuck his pitiful offer in his face.

Alexander has lost his last 3 fights in my eyes...Not sure if he will fulfil his potential.

Ridiculous comment but coming from you im not suprised...So what if he didn't face thaxton...He took on Maidana who was percieved as the most dangerous fighter at 140...Has fought quality since becoming champion...Look at the likes of Hatton bet you didn't criticise him did you!!!

Khan procrastinated terribly when it came to facing Maidana, to the point where he was faced with the ultimatum of fighting Maidana or being stripped of his belt. He wouldn't offer Peterson a decent payday, he was accused of the same thing against Maidana, McCloskey, Bradley and recently rumours have arisen about similar antics with Judah.

Let's look at the quality Khan has faced since becoming champion:

Salita - who?

Malignaggi - good but past his best and selected because he can't punch his way out a wet paper bag.

Maidana - a genuine threat who Khan tried to avoid until he was threatened with being stripped. A very good victory, but very nearly lost it in the 10th. Since made to look ordinary by a blown-up featherweight in his mid-30s...

McCloskey - unbeaten but unproven above Euro level, and not the best fight that was available.

Give the nonsense a rest, sunshine...

For Khan to get close to P4P#1, he'll have to avoid the best for some time and wait for them to get old, good ol' trick used by Roach with another fighter of his Rolling Eyes

Whether he has priced himself out of other fights or not is unknown to me, I do know that he avoided Gary Buckland a few years back after getting whooped in the Amateurs by him... Khan will always have this quality in him.

Malignaggi is a good champion who took the quitter Cotto all the way in a close fight, bet you didn't criticise Hatton for facing him did you?

Maidana who nearly got stopped in the 1st the bell saved the guy a good win you cant criticise it.

McCloskey unbeaten fighter and a good tune up for Bradley who for some reason turned down the fight.

Bradley's promoter said the deal Khan offered was good.

You forgot to mention he shut out a very good underrated Kotelnik for some reason.

Why you keep bringing Hatton up I do not know. When he fought Malignaggi I thought it was a decent win against a slickster, but one who Hatton could afford to walk through.

Paulie still managed to mark Khan up though...

Bradley turned down the offer because it wasn't much more than he's guaranteed anyway in his next fight. Simple choice.

PBF - He was forced into the fight with Maidana... WBA Ranked Maidana (they have done since the Kotelnik fight). It just so happened he mentioned fighting Maidana after the Mallignagi fight. Yes he was up for the fight, but only because he didn't have much choice Smile

Shantel are you some kind of special needs case? I'm not alone in my opinions of Khan and things like this Twitter spat do zero for his image other than to damage it still further. He acts like a petulant stroppy teenager.

It was widely documented that Khan was the one putting obstacles in the way of the Maidana fight, and also that he was told he'd be stripped unless he fought Maidana in due course.

If you want to fantasise, fabricate and accuse me of things which simply aren't true then by all means go ahead, but it's you who looks a fool with such behaviour, not I.

Am I right in thinking Khan was given the shot at Kotelnik on the terms that he'd fight Maidana afterwards? I thought Maidana was up to rematch Kotelnik or something, or am I mistaken?
