Well folks, that was truly fantastic. Hands down the best PPV I've ever seen, EVER!

Credit has to go to everyone involved in that, including John Cena.

Those who watched it will hopefully agree that Cena put on a high class performance, far greater than any of us thought he could do.

I'm so buzzing for Raw tomorrow night now, WWE hasn't made me feel like this about Wrestling in a long long time.

I've never genuinely been this excited about RAW.

Whatever happens tomorrow & if WWE somehow manage to mess this up, it won't take away how much I enjoyed MITB.

It was just sensational, from Sin Cara's bump, to Danielson WINNING!!! The RAW MITB and then Punk winning the title, it was just epic in every sense of the word.

What are all your thoughts about what they do with Punk and Cena now?

Would you like to see Punk on Raw tonight, or would him not turning up emphasise the fact that the belt has gone?

Agree with all above comments as well, superb PPV and, imo, Cena's best ever match!

In all honesty who would have thought both Orton and Cena would come out of this without the titles?!

P.S. As glad as I am i stayed up, i feel like i may pass out at any moment in work

When a PPV delivers, especially the main event, & then the show goes off the air w/ more questions than answers I'd say that's a good nite.

From start to finish, MITB arguably was the best wrestling PPV of the year. Highly entertaining, great crowd & gutsy in ring work. Bravo.

That's one thing i was meant to ask last night but forgot, and please forgive my ignorance, but I am guessing the fellas sat at ringside he was high fiving and the cameras kept pointing at, the one in the dark shirt was Cabana and the guy next to him was Hero?

In the word of Ron Simmons - DAMN!

Possibly the best produced "PPV" I've ever seen. Sky are going to be kicking themselves in the nuts when they get the viewing figures and realise they could have been quids in last night.

The money in the bank matches were pretty good, much more than expected with a few really good segments (Sin Cara powerbombed, Miz Injury) as well as plenty of other action to take in.

Orton and Christian ended a bit stale really, it was obvious Christian was never gonna win clean after they introduced the lawyer stuff and the contract stipulations. Was an ok match but after 3 months of the same even the Spanish Announce table has quit selling the RKO.

Main event was electric, from the first shred of Punks entrance music to going off air there was never a moment in the enitre match where you thought to yourself - "meh, this is going a bit stale now, just end it"

Internet Communities wet dream of a pay per view.

As for raw tonight, Cena "should" be getting fired. Not sure how they're gonna run the punk half of the storyline either, never the less, should be good to watch!

An excellent PPV! I'm glad they kept Henry/Big Show match relatively short, even if it had one of the funniest moments in a wrestling match when Mark Henry "dropkicked" the steel steps.

I thought the Smackdown Money in the Bank was one of the best MitB matches WWE have had, the Sin Cara spot was amazing, and I thought everybody in that match was very good. Made even better that Daniel Bryan won, I didn't expect that at all! Seems WWE are really appreciating what they have got, and trying to please the IWC with Bryan, Christian and CM Punk all winning.

The Raw MitB wasn't quite as good but I still thought it was a decent match, Bourne's spot was pretty amazing. I think everybody thought Del Rio was going to win it, probably the best option as well. Were the crowd booing Mysterio when he got near the briefcase?

Christian/Orton was a good match, not as good as their past couple but still was good and I thought the bit after the match was really good. Orton is at his most interesting when he snaps, rather than when he's cool and calculated.

Then the main event was brilliant, one of Cena's best matches, made even better by the crowd. I thought it was a bit slow at the beginning but really developed into an excellent match, I thought Cena trying to win it properly was a really good way to sell his character. I nearly marked out when McMahon brought down Del Rio as I thought my prediction was going to be spot on, but then shocked again as Punk left the building, an amazing ending.

All in all a very good PPV and it's a shame it wasn't at the one of the 'big ones'.

I think that Cena should, and I hope will, take a month or two off to rest and to sell the story. I imagine now that Punk is champion he'll have to at least stick around a little bit, as Hero says probably sat at ringside, but I hope they really sell the fact that the championship is no longer WWE property. WWE managed not to dissapoint us with the PPV, so hopefully they can keep up the good work and keep moving forward.

8.5/10 PPV for me.

I wonder that with WWE in talks with Chris Hero & Claudio and possibly Cabana that they've actually discussed doing something with ROH.
Actually allow Punk to appear on there with the title.

I just don't buy that to be honest, that'd be too huge of a leap from underusing CM Punk to having the title appear on RoH. I'd love to be proved wrong, but I don't see any big advantage for WWE to bother advertising another company.

CM Punk winning was amazing.

Daniel Bryan winning was an even bigger bonus.

Christian should now get a decent run (hopefully)

Brilliant PPV, exceeded my expectations, if someone told me Punk and Christian would win the titles and Bryan would win the briefcase i'd say my name is Prince Phillip and i have an oriental rent boy.

Hats off to the WWE for pulling the trigger on Punk and pushing this storyline, best thing they've done in years. Even have to say - Cena was good last night!

I'm suprised the internet is actually working this morning. Porn sites wont be getting many visits today, the IWC will be too busy cracking one off whilst watching MITB.

Ok here’s my thoughts on the PPV...

SD MITB.

A sign of things to come. Daniel Bryan, the IWC darling claiming the briefcase, Twitter immediately springs to action and he top trends. But the match itself? For me the best MITB match so far, had everything, Sheamus had his Kane Rumble style moment where he frankly looked awesome, he was just destroying people out there and the spot he did with Sin Cara where he powerbombed him THROUGH a metal ladder was mindblowing, I actually thought for a split second that Cara was dead.
Bryan himself took a couple of sick bumps and it was a great great opener.

Diva match

Obviously was going to be a quick match, time to get another drink and visit the loo. That’s pretty much all there is to say on it.

Big Show v Mark Henry

It wasn’t pretty but for the first time in a long time Big Show got properly jobbed, Henry just destroyed him, builds Henry’s monster push so they made the most of what skills they had at their disposal. Big Show clutching his ankle doing his Peter Griffin impression was hilarious.

RAW MITB

Not as good as the SD one but still very well put together, botched ending with the rebounding ladders but interesting to see Rey getting huge heat, really huge heat. Wonder how much they’ll go into his mask getting removed as well? Great spot by Bourne with his SSS from the top of the ladder to the outside.

Orton v Christian

Orton shows he can wrestle and I don’t think there’s anyone in the business today who hits a finishing move better than him. The internet breaks for a 2nd time when Christian gets the win and I personally liked how he did it, makes him even more hated by the kids though I can see WWE getting in trouble for allowing that, kids will be copying in playgrounds today. The assault afterwards really looked brutal and I think Orton gained more respect from the IWC for his showing. Expected Bryan to cash in his briefcase to send IWC into internal confusion but now looking forward to Christian v Bryan wrestling masterclass at some point soon.

Punk v Cena
The internet melts.
Where to begin?
It had it all. Over 30 minutes long but you still didn’t want it to end. Cena showing he can wrestle and do more than 5 moves. Cena really showed why he was the perfect opponent in this match and I definitely disagree he was the 3rd wheel, it HAD to be Cena.
Everything was just perfect in it, it made you believe again, it made you turn back into a ten year old sat on the edge of your seat willing them on, it tugged at your emotions when Vince walked down, you felt that ‘oh here we go, ruin it Vince’ pulled they pulled it back, they do it again with ADR but again they raise the roof even higher.

It’s only a few hours after the event, emotions are high but I can frankly say that it was the best PPV of the last ten years without doubt, Cena v Punk rivalled Austin v Hart and it could have been possibly the best ever.

Just watched it - from start to finish (bar the Divas match) it was absolutely amazing.

I can now see some interesting storylines developing... Christian as the weasel heel trying to escape from Orton and Del Rio constantly finding places where he tries to cash in the MITB.

I was surprised though pleased by Daniel Bryan winning the SD! MITB as much because I am not sure if he has the mic skills to be a main eventer at this stage. Whether he will successfully cash in, and when, remains to be seen. I thought he could have done a number on Christian there and could do again sometime though I would imagine that Christian would hold the title until around Oct/Nov so that Orton can then take it back before holding it through WM.

What can I say about Punk/Cena? Phenomenal match - Cena's move range was excellent and they worked excellently together. This means either: a) Cena could have done this all along but was a lazy ******* going for the easy routines of b) Punk is a genius who can make anyone else look brilliant.

Either way they both pulled the stops out and the kick outs and breakouts from the STFU really helped to cement Punk as the good guy in his home town. I must give credit to Cena for this - just like at ONS v RVD he was prepared to do the deed and put on a great match as a result.

What will happen now is anyone's guess... If they had a WWE title match and Punk no-showed would he lose the belt via forfeit? Will there be a new belt created? Will Punk be back in the WWE on Raw? Will Cena be fired (I expect so now, particularly after smacking Laurenitis on the nose)? Has Punk signed a new contract (I would imagine so)?...

All I can say is that the momentum built up has continued and is rolling on to Summerslam. It is going to be a Summer of Punk and one of the biggest pushes the WWE has had in a very long time.

N.B. Maybe Punk's contract was never actually up for renewal in Oct/Nov time? Maybe that was a plant to put the smarks and IWC off the trail - if so utterly brilliant thinking. Even more so if it came from the idiotic daughter and the doofus son-in-law.

Man it was hard work reading what you guys were putting whilst not being able to watch it til a few hours later but well well worth it!!!

Any news on the injury related front?? Sin Cara really impressed me before he got destroyed, looked like it was playground and that he could actually win.

I've never heard a crowd like that before, I knew it, I expected it but hearing it sent shivers down my entire body, i was cheering with em too!

Not sure on the injuries but it looked fairly obvious that Sin Cara went through a specially selected wooden ladder - there is no way that a metal one would have broken. I suspect it was a planned stunt and bar some bruising and soreness he will be fine - I still marked out when it happened through!! Smile

I also must say I much preferred seeing him in the white Mistico garb.

There has defintley been some deal struck between the WWE and CM Punk.
There is no way Vince would let some one leave the company with the title.
Credit to them though, it has given life into wrestling.
It will be intresting to see the viewing figures for tonights Raw.

The contract was never up in July, all the reports before this story happened said it was up in November, they suddenly stopped when this storyline began, so it's obvious that part was a work. The thing is though, has Punk signed a new contract for after November? I'm not so sure, could this world title run be the way Vince is persuading him to stay?

I think both the Miz and Sin Cara injuries were legitimate, although I don't think Sin Cara's is as serious as they were making out. I just think both of them were taken out of the match too early for them to be have been worked spots, I don't the Miz run in later was planned.

Invincible - I think that the thing that Hero and I are getting at is whether the idea of Punk's contract being up in November was a work all along...

It would make sense if they wanted to fool the smarks, along the lines of plant the seeds of a November contract end but kayfabe it as July for the show. The IWC then think that they know that it is not true but also buy in because they think that his contract is actually up in November due to their "inside information"...

Therefore all sides are played. They would not have been able to fool the IWC by saying his deal was up in July because everyone would know that McMahon would not have allowed it to play out this way if it were to.

As for the spots I don't think Sin Cara's was real though Miz's could have been. I actually thought he was going to come back and sprint up the ladder and get the briefcase but the way he was hobbling suggests either he is a very good actor (i.e. better than Randy Orton) or is legitimately injured. I do think he could do with some time off screen though.

I think Sin Cara was supposed to smash through the ladder, but I think he might have been genuinly hurt.

I do think CM Punk's contract is/was legit up in November, they're keeping it very quiet whether they've signed him up for longer than that.

Like Hero said, you know it's good when you feel like a kid who believes again and you can get emotionally involved in a match, rather than watching it objectively. When Del Rio was coming down to cash in, all I was thinking was "Run Punk! Run!". Punk said on Raw he would change the belt so if he is there tonight I wonder if we'll see it..
