Emilio Izaguirre breaks ankle or fibula

Celtic have confirmed that Emilio Izaguirre has broken his ankle, being stretchered off against Aberdeen.
Scotland's player of the year last season was taken to hospital after leaving the field after 15 minutes of Sunday's 1-0 win at Pittodrie.
The 25-year-old Honduras left-back immediately signalled to the bench after a strong but fair challenge from Aberdeen's Peter Pawlett.
Izaguirre had been linked with English top-flight clubs this summer.
Celtic manager Neil Lennon confirmed to BBC Scotland that the broken fibula could keep the defender could be missing for up to three months.
And he suggested that he could be forced back into the transfer market as cover.
Charlie Mulgrew is the other natural left-back in Celtic's first-team squad, although right-back Mark Wilson has previously played on the other flank.

Sad news but unfortunately good news for other teams in the SPL, he will be missed by Celtic, he was a great signing for them.

mixed reports going about the evening some say he's broken his fibula some saying ankle

Gutted for the guy, he looked like a top prospect and hopefully the lengthy layoff time projected will be shortened.

As a Ger I'm hardly gutted about this. The guy was a threat IMO and a few months on the sideline shouldn't do us any harm, unless Lennon signs someone better as a replacement. He seems to ken his way round the transfer market

Well as a Celtic fan, to try and put a positive spin on it, at least it means there'll be no English clubs trying to buy him this summer.
Hope he makes a quick recovery and it's only a fracture or something less serious

A fracture can sometimes be worse than a break.
