First topic message reminder :

This is the page where bids will be made for players playing in England who have been released by there Premiership club or are playing outside the top flight.

Here is the clarification on these rules

1.The player must be playing in England when the bid is made.

2.If the player is playing outside of England but is EQ a bid can only be made during the foreign window but WILL NOT count against you bid allocation.

3.Bids must be present this way

'Club X' would like to bid '£x' for the player 'X' from Club 'x'.


I will monitor all bids and accept/reject them at 10pm the following day after they have been made

SJE - I think you can bid on players, but if you are successful then you have to put those players in your squad and if you then go over the 55 that means Driver gets to randomly select a player to take out and release. Sure that's what was said for me when I tried to bid when I had 55 players.

Dont remember Driver ever saying that Chris?? I thought if you bid and it would put you over the limit the bid was void till you sorted the squad out. Many a bidding war people have been called on squad limit (by me at imes!!) and gone away and released a few and come back. I know well as I live on these pages sometimes

Driver - as Pooly wasn't allowed to bid for either Tomkins, does that mean that his last bid does not count and therefore reduces the price to his previous bid?

£6.5 is the bare minimum for Tomkins to be accepted as I think he'll be a smash in union

Centre for me will be his position good signing chros

He's a top talent - never can be 100% sure whether he will make it, but had to be worth a punt. His brother is far more talented, but cant see him leaving league.

I had pulled out for Sam but on 2nd thoughts since the bid is accepted I'll take the risk and take him on

SJE - good call I think, he's a star in the making - if he comes to Union! Wonder if Kyle Eastmond will make it?

I hope so Chris since I paid a fortune for him!! He had a cracking season in league but its hard to tell what position he will play in union. He has the skills to make a good 12 but is on the small side at 5'7. Great little runner and has a bit of a kicking game. If he gets the defensive side down think he could make a cracking fullback

Driver I wouldnt go for either of those two mate, I would put a bid in for Leeds young 10 Oliver Cocognini, he's very good and I'd have gone for him but my academy is pretty much no10s!

Also I am nearly 100% certain that Leeds have a youngster called Jake (or Jack) Armstrong who'd be worth a punt.
