By the way I am a qualified ref but only basic, and only handled junior rugby, more coaching than actually reffing ha ha ha

France have been reffed out of this game so far yet it's only 5 - 0 and the kiwis aren't looking like offering too much!

well it's been captivating if nothing else. Starting to get really annoyed that it isn't allowed to be a fair contest though, I know I'm no expert but some of the decisions have been baffling!

Decent 1st half, could've been about 9-5 to France but they're hardly out of it.

Can't believe the 10 business. It's like England being down to Freddie Burns having his Eng debut in a final!

brilliant stuff from the french thats all i can say- no point getting all het up over a couple of decisions half way through a game,thats for historians and losers. there only 5 down- game on!!

I wouldn't say they were baffling, you can see why Joubert is pinging the french everywhere, they are making mistakes but they are mainly due to NZ playing outside of the rules, and being allowed to!

I feel sorry for France. They clearly have the better set piece today but they can't get a foothold in the game because the ref is penalising out of the game. Every 50/50 call is going against them, especially at the breakdown.

French playing very well, it's a shame their efforts aren't reflected in the score and decisions have been made against them.

A proper tense final so far. Enjoying it. Yes some decisions have gone against the French but they're still in it. The decisions might even out next half for all we know.

It seems the majority of posters acknowledge that the refereeing is clearly the key issue determining the first half...i wonder if Lievremont has Joubert up against a wall right now
