And to rub salt in the world, the french had actually worked a turnover and pinged for it!!

2nd half has been better by Joubert but partly due to France being by far the better team!!!

Christ, France gave them an awful fright. They are so mentally vulnerable when its put up to them. Other teams - check it out. .

I feel sorry for NZ, this tournament has been a bit of a joke, every reffereeing appointment was poorly managed, Owens reffing SA, Samoa should never have been allowed, Rolland reffing the France Wales semi should never have been allowed, poor choices, poor reffing in both a semi and final, and a decent tournament ruined by a shoddy ball noone has been able to get to grips with!!

If the tournament had gone to Japan it wouldve been a better spectacle, and wouldve promoted the game much better around the world!

And despite a good tournament for Wales it's hardly been a classic!

Well done to New Zealand, and well done to McCaw, one the great players and great captains. Shame about the dreadful referee, but New Zealand created the better chances. France were brave and heroic but just weren't able to get into positions to score when it counted

This comp was set up for them to win it. Have no doubt about it. Thats why Japan didnt get it and no ref would prevent it. .

Well done NZ, you were the better side during the tournament. It's a shame there had to be some dodgy ref decisions (although you would probably still of won)

dont worry about it- england have it 2015- the massive money spinner for many concerned- then set up for 2019 in japan

Well done NZ. No one deserves it moe than the AB's. They are the best side in world and have been, more often than not for as long as I can remember.

However France were the better team today in every single aspect of the game and I feel desperately sorry for them. It was a huge performance from them but they were really up against it with the crowd and referee against them. Joubert is a disgrace and ruined a fantastic contest.

Harrinordique, Dusitoir and Rogerie were awesome today and France were better all over the park.

They wouldn't have, the french shouldve had a pen in front of the posts, and then one out wide in the 2nd half, and should've won that game!!!

They didn't deserve to be in the final but they deserved to win it!

If I wasn't so sympathetic i'd tell the french that Karmas a bitch!!!

But I maintain the ball has hurt this tournament, the IRB have fined all and sundry for stupid offences, have chosen the wrong referees in the wrong games, and generally let down everyone not from NZ, although the kiwis were the best team in the tournament bar the last 80!

Just goes to show, performance means little, getting ahead on the score board then closing up is the best tactic you can employ, it's happened in 4 games in the knockouts now!
