The X factor and other Saturday night fare - Page 2 Empty The X factor and other Saturday night fare

Post by Adam D Sun 23 Oct 2011, 1:30 pm

First topic message reminder :

So who has been watching the X Factor this year?

Anyone?

Hello?

No wonder - its terrible this year. The only reason to watch it is to see what Johnny and Kitty are going to do. Once they go, I would rather switch over to Downton Abbey or something equally benign.

Anyway, if you want to see a real talent show, check out the US X Factor. The gulf in talent beggars belief. It was judges house this week (where they whittle it down from 32 to 16 acts) - I am not joking when I say that everyone of the 16 who DIDNT make it, would walk the UK version.

Every single act in the last 32 is better than the best of the UK version.

So what are you watching? Strictly?

I'm going to guess he got caught doing drugs? No one that wasn't high would possibly think that haircut and a vest is acceptable.

I think he played it perfectly, up until now where he allegedly been doing drugs, which is idiotic.

He knew he couldn't sing, so just went out and took advantage of his 15 minutes of fame, free drinks, lot of women throwing themselves at him etc.

Saturday evenings are going to get slightly better now, ITV's The Chase is moving to Saturday nights at 6pm and that's a cracking game show. It's a celebrity version but I'm sure it'll retain its charm during its run.

Not seen all the shows since it started on a saturday night , who's the guy in the white suit when they show you the Chasers ?

The exact reason for his axe is not yet known but insiders said he had broken a "golden rule".

Not being able to sing?

She was gorgeous!

Anyways, why is Frankie still in it? Even though I'm supporting him as he's from Brighton he is awful!

That's Paul Sinha, he's probably the dullest of The Chasers due to his lack of presence and charisma. He does come up with some decent putdowns though.

has anyone noticed that Frankie Cocacola has been edited out of the M&S advert?

You can still here him but you can no longer see the close up he used to have.

Haha - not really a suprise is it? Doesn't exactly fit with the M+S brand.

But then again, I don't think The X Factor full stop is a brand match with M+S. Odd choice of collaboration.

I do watch X Factor but I wish they wouldn't change the songs so much, it annoys me. What they did to Born This Way was awful and it showed as Misha was in the bottom 2. I think Kitty should have sang it and it was a bit unfair she wasn't allowed to sing a Lady Gaga song.

I see they have replaced both Frankie and Kitty with Amelia lily in the M&S advert

Just a thought but is the M&S advert changing everytime some leaves the show until i will just be one singer singing the full song ?
