Gareth Thomas retires from rugby

Gareth Thomas has announced his retirement from all forms of rugby with immediate effect .

Bit strange timing just 4 days before he was due to play for Wales against England ? and with a mooted move to Wigan in the pipeline .

As you say strange timing to annouce his retirement from all forms of Rugby.
Came to Rugby League far to late to make an impact in our game. He would have been an outstanding success if he had come over about 8 years ago, but the money he earned in union kept him there preventing us in Rugby League seeing the best of him.

Good union player but I had to laugh when he got knocked out after five min's of his first league game.
