Barely anyone sells in Vegas. Not saying he's a superstar but his numbers are OK.

That what I took "his support was outweighed incredibly" to mean.

I'm not saying it either Scott, I was just mentioning that I think and I think Steve Kim was pointing it out on Twitter as well that the fight was scheduled in DC because Khans last two fights barely filled half the arena.

thumbsup Agreed.

I believe HBO are putting a lot more emphasis on fighters selling tickets rather than getting by on TV money.

It looked like a packed house on TV on the Maidana fight!!

and to be fair Ireland/Northern Ireland properly get behind there fighters when they have a shot. (Primarily because hardly any of them ever get a shot)

The McCloskey fans who were on the same tier as me and myself included cheered when Khan came out.

It was a good show (atmosphere wise) but I think the majority of the Irish fans respected Khan before the end of the fight hence the roar when he came to the ring.

Well Ricky Burns would have a few words to say about that. The Scottish aren't getting regular world title shots and he doesn't have the biggest army of fans.

Not saying thats the main reason as to why they get behind there fighters.

But you get the gist, Scotland don't seem as bothered about boxing however =/

We have Brian Magee who won the WBA Interim belt and I can tell you that he doesn't have a big following either.

McCloskey is a weird one, he has a massive following over here and sold out the Odysessy Arena which holds around 10k. But hes not even that good. I just think the Khan fight got him a bagfull of GAA supporters and footy fans on the Dudey Army bandwagon sort of like Hatton got, not real boxing fans but good support none the less
