Horne unreal in defence and great hands and contact skills. Worrying injury record but apparently his elbow is fine. Bizarre long term injury the arm and elbow no way of protecting it and kept going. Surgery saved it apparently was touch and go

He's better than I initially thought, definatly better than Fa'ainga anyway. Every time Barnes/AAC play together though they look magic. Hardly seems to happen though with AAC covering injuries but when it does it tends to click straight away.

Still my fav midfield combo in rugby

Not sure about that one, would need to see it.

I just love it as AAC runs straight, hard and fast. Barnes brings it to the line and just times his passes perfectly. So hard to stop. That game v France was one of best attacking games I've seen from one side. Barnes and AAC pretty much finished Jauzions Int career

Faainga's defence is the best I've ever seen of any back. Runs some decent lines in attack but not much when it comes to creativity.

Irish looking better side. Vickers is having a stinker, throw is all over the place.

Irish tactic of give Delon ball, he kicks and Falcons lose lineout working with the wind.

Our lineout was a shambles Nick, not sure why you didn't play on that. Our defence was outstanding but zero back play.

JJ looks great in real life but bit of a one trick pony, does a little jump and attempts outside break. Lads got talent though.

Pooly - if Wasps had Gopperth as our no10We'd be 10-15 points better off since Christmas - RObinsom can't kick for toffee and Davis just isn't a AP player. We missed 5 kicks today that I could have kicked.

Games we should be winning by 6-9 points we are losing. So annoying - we also struggle from lack of ball carriers, one big back would make a load of difference. Just need the weather to turn, bit of sunshine and we will win games as got such a good attacking game.

Lost Flutey again to injury in mid week, and berry and Haughton during the game. One bit of good news is we have 4 buyers lined up - sooner we are away from Wycombe the better!

Hard thing to call Chris, Gopperth doesn't pass so we could have 10 tbp if we had a creative 10.

We were in Irish's 22 today and Gopperth got it and kicked it straight past the goal line, no bounce, just straight out. Our try was a mistake by JJ or Armitage,

Our forwards get us all the possession and our backs lose it as all nice runners but with no power and just lose the ball or get isolated. If we had a kicking 10 we would have won so many games, as I think Saints aside in the LV we only lose by between 3-6 points per game and Robinson and Davis must both on. Average miss 9-12 points a game with the boot.

Think Young might be in a bit of trouble, went a bit mad at the ref on 80mins - our scrum destroyed Exeter all afternoon, 80th min we had a 5m attacking scrum and would have been a try or at worst a pen from right in frot of the post and the ref blew an Exeter pen. Awful decision - wasps should have won by 10+

I've read about Sale being in advanced talks with Cips. I like the guy and think that if he concentrates on rugby he has an England future, but we would need Macleod at 12 just to steady ship with Tuipouloutu/Leota at 13.

Cipriani and Powell on the Deansgate locks spells disaster though!

Good write up by Mike Catt:

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/international/england/9090792/Six-Nations-2012-time-for-England-to-move-Owen-Farrell-to-fly-half-as-sparkling-Wales-visit-Twickenham.html

He fancies a Barritt/Tuilagi midfield too!

"So here is the first dilemma. Brad Barritt, in my opinion, has done as well as anybody for England in the first two games, so do you drop him in favour of Manu Tuilagi, who appears back to fitness after injury although there is little evidence of form?"

"They are similar – too much perhaps for some tastes – but Barritt is far more skilful than some give him credit for and I could see them working well together.

But that would mean dropping Owen Farrell, I hear you cry. Yes, that would be a difficult call, as the young man has emerged as a very reliable goal kicker and has done little wrong at centre, but perhaps this is the day you switch him to fly-half which, in my opinion, is his natural Test position."

Never sure what I make of Mike Catt's articles - toruble is that if you play Barritt and Tuilagi you have zero kicking options outside 10, which is ok if Farrell was at 10, but never convinced of Flood's game management ability in the big games and same with Hodgson. So with either of those at 10 you need a 12 or 13 with a kicking game.

Think Greenwood writes the best for the Telegraph - have you seen his report on England. He wants to see Morgan, Lawes, Dickson, Tuilagi and Sharples start, in place of Dowson, Botha Youngs, Barritt and Ashton, but would also like to see Mike Brown given a run out (don't agree with the last bit).

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/rugbyunion/international/england/9089153/Six-Nations-2012-Will-Greenwoods-half-term-report-on-England.html

I think we will beat Wales if we make 3-4 of the changes above - it'd be a stupid error if we tried to outmuscle Wales in the midfield - best bet is to use our better runners and go for tries with an expansive game.

You dont have "zero" kicking options as Barritt has a decent boot as seen in previous two games. He can kick just doesn't need to often I guess.

Love Greenwood but he seems to spout a lot of rubbish in his articles. One poor game from Foden and Brown in.....

Barritt's kicking isnt international standard, Flood's game management isnt good enough in the big games, so really do need a 12 or 13 with a top class kicking game. Sorry but I dont think Barritt has that at all.

Read the article again Pooly, he doesnt say Foden had a bad game at all, but wants Brown to get some game time. I don't agree with him on this as the 6Nations isnt for giving people game time.

We only need a kicking centre if we're going to play a kicking game like Sarries....I'd rather we didn't play like that

I agree with you, and would be happy if England had centres as good as Roberts and Davies to play the game, but as much as I like Barritt (you might be surprised but I do rate him) - if we get him at no12 and ask him to do the same job as Roberts does against Roberts then there is only going to be one winner. That;s the issue I have with Barritt, don't think he is big enough for his style against the bigger players - he can boss people about in the AP like Allen, Flutey etc.

Thing I find odd is that Farrell does have a good attacking game, not in terms of running but in passing and getting people running off him - it just isnt coming off yet for England. Not sure whether this is lack of good ball, fact he has too similar a passing game to Hodgson, or the backthree arent reading him yet.

I'd definitely bring in Lawes, Morgan, Dickson and Tuilagi into the starting lineup and Sharples onto the bench for Brown.

You have to have a kicking option in the centres. Barrit will be unlucky to be dropped but long term it's
The sensible option you will never win a world cup with barrit. Attacking wise he is nowhere near tindall when he was in
Prime for example

How would people rate my backrow if I started playing Liam Gill a bit more? Aussies really rate him.

http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/sport/liam-gill-is-seen-as-the-emerging-no-7-in-australian-rugby/story-e6frg7o6-1226270168799

Tuilagi showing why he has to start next week for England - if Flood can sort out his kicking then he might make the 22 next week!

The Sarries defence is incredible though

Think Tuilagi could become a really special player - type of guy you always have to have two players on, which creates space for the backthree, ideal for England.

Trouble for Tigers is that their backthree isnt the greatest anymore, think they need a few changes, Benjamin will help next year though.

Skivington having a good game.
