As a Broncos fan there are mixed emotions, I like Tebow and I think he could maybe become a very good player, but we got good value for him and it's time for us to move on now that we have Peyton

its going to be strange not seeing Tebow in a Bronco Shirt.
so does that mean then Tebow/Sanchez will fight for the place?

There'll be some competition but I very much doubt Tebow beats out Sanchez, with Tony Sparano as the Jets OC expect special packages with Tebow and Tebow only starting if Sanchez plays poorly or gets injured

I meant good value considering some expected us to get a 5th or 6th round pick

Tony Sparano is OC for the Jets and ran the Wildcat in Miami, so Tebow is just his kind of guy for that formation set. Sanchez will be the Number 1 and Tebow will come in for Wildcat formations is my humble prediction.

If McDaniels was still around, then no, not good value. But Elway is steering this ship now and the greatest value for Elway was to see the Tebow circus heading for the the airport -- any draft pick he got in compensation was simply gravy.

Kinda gutted. Really liked Tebow (but ecstatic we have Manning) but hate the Jets.

Anyway i'm a little surprised with this move... I mean, I get the fit with Sparano and the Wildcat style packages put there is already a fair bit of pressure on Sanchez given the way he has performed and the NY media and now you dump Tebowmania on top of him. Not a week will go by without "Tebow should be starting" even if it was totally unjustified.

Had a look online and supposedly it is to do with the Broncos asking the Jets to pay back $5million of Tebow's salary .. not sure why the hell they would?

Tebow is due signing bonuses that are guaranteed for 2012 and 2013. It's written in the contract. The Broncos didnt ask for it back, the Jets simply didnt read the contract thoroughly enough - Jets fault.

Jaguars are now back in the mix looking to trade for Tebow!

So Tebow will start a fair few then?

But how often will they run the Wildcat? If they run it twice and it works, people will ask "Why don't they run it more." Same if they run it ten times. And Tebow doesn't want to be a bit role player. He is highly competitive. This could get messy.

Not from Tebow, he wasn't the one putting up billboards in Denver. He'll happily work a wildcat sub-package and trot out the standard "I train as if I'm the started, ready to jump in if need". He's not the type of person to start shouting about how he wants to be the started (in public at least).

The Wildcat in the NFL doesn't work, no matter who is running it.

Well, the Wildcat worked for that 1st year, not so much the next year. Might work more with Tebow because there is more of chance of him throwing it than a running back -- though not necessarily any more accurately.

Tim Tebow obviously thinks he can oust Mark Sanchez as starting quarterback or else he surely would have joined the Jaguars or Dolphins.

I thought so too, at first, but Elway says Tebow had a say in where he went and that they kept him in the loop during the whole process.
