"I'll make you famous"

Was watching the Ali/Frazier documentary yesterday on a great web site called documentary heaven, check it out. In the film the late Bert Sugar made a great statement that after the 1st Ali v Frazier fight "the winner became the looser, and the looser became the winner" referring to the contrast in public opinion of both fighters after their first fight. Ali went on to become the most recognisable athlete in the world where as Frazier went off the radar. Its clear to see Ali made Frazier the name he had become although Ali did need Frazier to a certain extent.

Ca anyone think of any other examples like this. Did Leonard make Haglar, or was it Hearns? Would we know Saddler if it was not for Pep? And so on.
