I don't mind smokers in general, but if you're walking next to me smoking in the street, and I have to breathe it in, it really does wind me up.

Lol, nah, not really, just needling Il Giab.

I'm 50:50, don't like the smell of smoke and hate it when I'm eating or you catch a gobful of it when walking down the street or out of an office building. The litter it causes by virture of most smokers being careless with their fag butts is also annoying but then I see how expensive fags are these days and it makes me laugh so there's pluses and minuses. I hate seeing cigarette butts on the floor. It's really not difficult to wait until you find a bin or put it in a back pocket 'til you get home. On the other hand, I hate it when places have nowhere to put your fag end. If you go out the front of the Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay, there isn't a single ashtray-box thing to be seen, nor any bins. It's all well and good trying to reduce smoking, but the fact is that people do smoke, and if you don't provide ashtrays for them, you're asking for litter.

Maroon 5. I don't care if you're at a payphone. And if you show off your 'moves like Jagger' around here, you'll be dancing all the way to the hospital.

The girl who sits next to me in work LOVES Maroon 5 and is always singing a song of theirs. I absolutely fecking hated them anyway, the lead singer's voice grates on my nerves...but now I have to put up with someone else singing their songs badly.

Whenever I go to the pub or out in town, I ALWAYS end up bumping into someone who I just really don't want to see. Either they are there with others, or working on the bar, which forces you into an awkward 30 second conversation.

Whenever I go up the City I always see someone I know but don't really like. So you have the awkward sort of eye contact followed by the forced smile. Hate it

Agreed. Just shows how gullible some people are - make something fashionable and women fall for it. I've seen four different women on the bus to work reading it in one week recently. Erotic literature of all types has been around for donkeys, and there's a lot more graphic and better written stuff around than that book if that's what you're into. I can't understand what the fuss is about. Apparently it's actually quite a mediocre, poorly written book too.

And consequently, the rain stopping me from going to watch Worcestershire in the cricket.

The fact that it started out as fan fiction for Twilight should set the alarm bells ringing but from what I've seen it's little more than a glorified letter to Razzle.

I used to have a desk opposite these two women who talked constantly about their children and their children's friends. Now maternal love is a wonderful thing, but once you've tuned in to someone's voice, it's almost impossible to tune out, and dear God was I sick of hearing about these women's kids by the time I left.

I often get the feeling that the people nattering away in my ear aren't even listening to each other, they are just waiting for the other to finish so they can say something about themselves. "yeah, I know. I remember when I..blather, blather, blather".

I often think to myself, 'what's the point of all this talking?' Or maybe I'm some sort of sociopath!

The BBC's new Olympics trailer. We could have had an inspiring montage of great Olympians of the past and the potential stars of the London games, but instead we get a glorified Lloyds TSB advert.

People that sing at work (in an office). Feck off with yourself. You're not a singer, you can't sing and this isn't X-Factor. Only thing more annoying than women gas-bagging all day!

Alesha Dixon. First she was made a judge on Strictly Come Dancing despite having no background in dance, now she's going to be a judge on Britain's Next Top Model - what makes her an authority on the subject? Plus she's really inarticulate. Plus I've never forgotten the cringe-making 'toasting' she used to do on Misteeq's records.

Second that! As Lee Evans once said, it's like they know you leave the room to make a cuppa or something and are trying to chase you! I'm a horrendous channel-flicker when the ads come on, can't bare to watch them.

Breaker, they seem to forget that the purpose of an advert isn't just to advertise the availability of a product or service, it's also to make the viewer like / want that product or service.

Hadn't seen the trailers when this comment was made, but all I can say is ABSOLUTELY SPOT ON. Now you've mentioned Lloyds TSB, I can't see anything but that in them.

And don't get me started on the computer-generated Andrex puppies... mad
