So i get home and see exactly what i feared would happen for Ali.

What happened in the last 3 frames, was Ali outplayed or was it a story of missed opportunities again?

Missed opportunities. Parrott says he can see similarities with himself in the final v Davis (18-3) and Ali just now.

Thats actually good from Ali to get a bit of joy from that, maybe that will spur him on.

At least make it go to the mid session interval in the final session. I like the "pots of the tournamet" compilation.

He's been fed up throughout this session, and he's thinking on missed chances.

he will be one of the favs for my money, nothing to do with before defenses, i am not saying he will, i am saying good luck for it because i am sure he will play next year as much as others want to believe he wont because of a few mumblings.

Well done. Deserves it.

Congratulations to Ronnie. He was consitently the best player throughout the tournament and mentally the strongest I have ever seen him. Would have been even more impressed if the mental strengths had been fully tested by a player pushing him to the bring but congratulations again to Ronnie. Well I was nearly right as I think I predicted 18-10.

Great win, great player. Watch his 147's on the way to work and his are the best!

I think that i was more impressed with Ronnies victory this year than any of his previous three if i may be honest. He looked a lot more in control and focused than he ever has. It was a joy to watch him this year.

Carter was never going to win, still it was a good tactical performance from Ronnie who was more concerned with safety than attack. Will Ronnie finally stick by his words and quit?

josiah- lol he hasnt said he is gonna quit. he has said very clearly that he is having 6 months off and will be back, he said he has contemplated quiting or haveing a 2 year break or that it would be nice to end on a high.

However he has said he will be back after his 6 month break. So good luck to him.. I have no idea why people are making such a big deal over this

Its because he's said it so many times since mid 00's. Gives the game of snooker a bad name when you keep saying you don't like playing.

Carter was really tired towards the end, even more than Ronnie and he's younger than Ronnie.

Thats why i never really take to heart Ronnies threats Josiah. He just gets eomotional and says things like that.

I don't mind it when he wins and does it Billy, but he usually says it after a loss which takes the gloss away from the winner. So on this occasion, he can say what he likes

Yep i hate it when he says those things as well in fairness. But i think this time he has been misquoted. He didnt ever say he was going to quit. He was just rambing on abit and was asked a few leading questions

Yeah, in the past that has annoyed me as well Josiah but in all honesty, he just says things in the heat of the moment. Pretty sure we have all been guilty of that in the past, i know i have anyways
