Re: US Open Day 10
Andy needs to settle down. He is rushing through the ball and FH is going long.

Re: US Open Day 10
If your Cilic that was a give away.
Andy breaks. Cilic now going for more power on the serve.
Very intriguing set thus far.

Think there is a bit of cat and mouse going on LF.
Cilic in those first five games was hitting everything and now seems to have taken his foot off the pedal. Murray started very tentatively and has gradually getting into the set.

Errors just creeping into to the Cilic FH. Encouraging signs for Murray

Re: US Open Day 10
Some of you goddam amateurs said Raonic would give him the harder match than Cilic..

Focus Andy. It is just one set, it is a Bo5 match.

Re: US Open Day 10
That was an impressive set from Cilic.
Andy needs to open the FH up because the 2nd serve is going to take some pummeling.

Re: US Open Day 10
Cilic a set up sure it's not fatal. Some lovely play from Cilic though - he looked so promising in 2009 and then nothing really happened.
C'mon though Murray
lol at Rusedski earlier 'whoever wins the first set (Roddick vs Delpo) will win the match. After Delpo took the 2nd, it is whoever will win the 3rd

I love the way Cilic is using Fed's tactics gainst Muzza, nice wide serve then spins the forehand down the line, this guys got intelligence.

Cilic looks more muscly than I remember him - he's been putting the work in, and it shows in the rally's.

You are forgetting how Cilic played against Klizan, who almost had him in the first set.
If Andy plays like this, he deserves to lose.

For a 6'6 guy his serve isn't as good as it should be.

No mate I watched him destroy Nishikori and Klizan, I had faith he would take at least a set off Murr tonight.laverfan wrote:Josiah Maiestas wrote:Set and a break up lmao. Marin's losing record will prevent him hurting Andy they said..

Re: US Open Day 10
Yep DP handled that well.
Not sure what legacy Andy leaves behind as commentators just said but he's been a good servant to tennis and made a good living from it. Even though he's a year younger than Federer the game seemed to pass him by some time back.
