Chavez Martinez update

Apparently Chavez Jr is still 12 pounds over the middleweight limit right now... If you ask me shifting 12 pounds on the week of the fight is a pretty stupid task.... Probably needs to lay off the cheerios...

Also the Rigondeaux fight is back on the undercard, now I know the opponent isn't great, but it is always nice to see a master boxer at work. His destruction of Teon Kennedy was a pretty impressive display. Also adds a bit of flair to a pretty poor undercard.

Both Martinez and Chavez weighed 167 lbs at the 7-Day weigh in so he is on target for 160

Where did you hear he was 12lb over? I read he and Martinez came in at 167 for the 7 day weigh in.

On a side note the guy who tested Chavez presumably works or him and Chavez promotions and was with him when he got done using weight making drugs

Well their writers are biased, but the do usually get their facts right.

Only weigh in I will believe, is when there are spectators and representatives from the opposite camp to verify.

Many people on this board want Chavez to lose but my money is on Chavez, just feel he will take Martinez power and maybe even stop him between rounds 8-10. Martinez will know deep down he must K.O Chavez as this will be a robbery if it goes to scorecards, that will be his downfall. Team Chavez have timed this fight to perfection imo.

Honestly guys, Chavez defence is so wide open its not even funny. The only way Martinez doesn't knock him out is if he breaks both his hands at the start of the fight. Chavez Jr may have a chin but everyone will go down eventually.

I see this as an easy fight.
