Here’s how it basically works.
You have a budget of 100m to purchase a squad with the following stipulations:
1. You MUST have a minimum of 6 players from the country designated to you.
2. You MUST have a minimum of 3 players that were born on or after 1st October 1991.
3. You CANNOT go over the squad limit of 25.
To buy your squad then you must make sealed bids for the players. How this works is that you check the value of the players on TM, the MINIMUM cost is what their value is on there, but you can bid more than that as others may wish to buy that player. The maximum value of a player that you can bid for is £12m although may wish to bid more than that in order to acquire him.
So for example;
Bull places a sealed bid of 875k for Paul Scholes as that is the TM value.
Viva places a sealed bid of 1m for Scholes as he thinks others may be bidding for him.
Viva therefore wins.
ALL squads are PM’d to myself and a designated neutral party (to ensure fairplay I will send my squad list first so it cannot be said I’ve gazumped anyone). I then reveal who has got which player in the first draft.
We continue the process until everyone has then spent up and we move onto the Star Player bid which works under the same principle although you have a budget of 25m + whatever remained from your normal bids for ONE player who has a value up to 25m
Clarification: Betting players or money between 2 clubs is strictly prohibited

It's more that there's a 0.0000000000000000000000001% chance of you selling Jordi Alba.

I had the exact same joke in my head. The real reason why Terry was not selected

I am well chuffed with my squad, think it is pretty decent. Especially my midfield which I am having wet dreams over

Elaborate. I'm saying whether I am a fan or not, but interested to know reasons.
I think the philosophy behind it is to encourage domestics

I prefer the 2 a week rule It's not going to encourage anything due to a lack of money because we won't be able to trade our injured players out cos no one will want them

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXXIII
I think it's a fair comment Nando.
I think the injury rule is one that warrants a bit of discussion as it is so significantly different.
Personally I think 4 weeks is too long in a 10 week season.

It's like we're playing a RPG. Can we have fire breathing dragons that protect our stadium while we're not there.
I like the long injuries, it's part of real life Football playings being injured for long periods of time.

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXXIII
But that won't stimulate domestics Viva, it will inhibit it.
I still think 4 players and 4 weeks is too many. How about the same approach, but with 3 players and 3 weeks, or 2 player and 2 weeks.

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXXIII
I think I'm leaning towards the two players injured per week. Firstly it'll be easier to track down, less headache on us to keep updating out pages, it's more fair. Manager A loses Messi for 4 weeks and manager F loses Bramble for 1 week. At least with the two injuries a week it evens it self up at the end of the season.
Re: Euro Division Homepage XXXIII
I personally think there was nothing up with injuries and it dient need to be changed at all. It worked so why change it

Re: Euro Division Homepage XXXIII
I did it so that it pushes managers to mix up their squad every 4 weeks, in the other leagues I've seen it in it does cause a flurry of swaps going on and it makes the injuries a BIG thing each month. I would suggest to everyone to at least give it a try.

Not yet. There has to be a notice before TP open so everyone is prepared, I don't want this 11:59pm stuff where most of us have gone to sleep and managers are hovering over the send button.
