Saints seem to have gone backwards at a rate of knots the last two years. i just don't think the pack is anywhere near the standard it was at. No idea why but I don't think it's any coincidence that it's after Kruger left.

I'm delighted Mallinder didn't get the England job, i think he's reached his level.

last time I checked four defenders trying to tackle a player counted as beating four defenders but each to their own i guess... great try by Northampton!!

2 missed, two made the tackle. But hey why not call it 15 players beaten as the entire Saints team wanted to make the tackle.

He did very well, but exagerating it is dumb.

I think this is an obvious problem for Saints. They've never worked out how to create an effective backline under Mallinder without a battering ram 12. I don't think Burrell is a better player than Waldouck, but under this coaching team, he's far more effective at 12.

Artemyev I disagree on, I think he's abject. Every time I see him play he looks awful in the tackle and makes at least one mistake that leads to points for the opposition.

This team is only a few players different than the 2010 team, but they're clearly poorer in the pack, and they desperately need to get a 10 who is rock solid. Seems that for every player they improve on (Pisi for Clarke) they move back in another area (Oakley for Wilson).

...Good try though...in fact scratch that first paragraph!

Not for the first thirty minutes it wasn't. The Pisi bros are a delight to watch. Lovely running.

Strauss has been excellent bounced opposition forwards out of the tackle a couple of times and did well to score the second try.

Biltong always spoke highly of him. He should have got more chances with the springboks. He played 8 for the Lions, and he is a much better player than Spies in my opinion.

Glad to hear the Warriors are in the lead. I hope they can close it out and win, Scottish rugby needs wins like this!

If Sale go down (which it looks like they will) does that leave Gray free to move to new pastures (or back to Glasgow?)?

No because he signed a contract.

Yes but I thought they usually get some clause in their contract like that. Oh well, I'm sure a French team would be willing to buy out his contract if that is not the case.

Always knew Gray was making a very poor move going to Sale a lot of big names have gone there and destroyed their careers - see Dwayne Peel and Luke McAllister who has only just got back to the top of European rugby now.

Myler looked for the kick from Hartley and misses badly from a relatively easy angle. 1 from 4 for Myler. Not good in such a tight game at the minute.
