Helenius' first fight since in my view robbing Chisora, held in Helsinki Finland, Williams ain't much, more of a getting back into it fight for Helenius, I reckon the Nordic Nightmare will have him out by the midrounds, but may want to notch up rounds. Alex's Special Fight Review, a 2 star fight.

Wladimir Klitschko against Mariusz Wach - (RTL, ESPN) Broadcast starts at 9:45PM - UK time

Another defence of Wlad's belts, he may be big he may be unbeaten, but he's god awful from what I've seen, Klitschko in 8. It's in Hamburg, Germany and it's for a trillion belts. WBA super, WBO, IBF and IBO and mine from River Island. Alex's Special Fight Review, a 3 star fight.

Vanes Martirosyan against Erislandy Lara - (HBO) Broadcast starts at 2:45AM - UK time

Good fight this, Martirosyan has been protected in my view thus far, but no more in this WBC World Title Eliminator. The Armenian has looked handy beating part timers but now he's coming up against a very gifted fighter in Lara, mainly known for being robbed by Paul Williams a while back , he has since been undefeated and has fought his way up beating a decent level of opposition. Supposedly the winner gets Alvarez, I think I know someone who will be pretty happy if Lara gets a shot at Alvarez. Prediction, Lara win by UD. Alex's Special Fight Review, a 4 star fight.

Abner Mares against Anselmo Mareno - (ShowTime) Broadcast starts at 3AM - UK time

Well, for me this is the main event of the evening, 12 rounds of Boxing for the WBC Super Bantamweight Championship of the World. Two of the top SBW's going at it toe to toe. Will be very interesting to see how this one will go, the winner could go onto fight Donaire, which would also be interesting, providing Boxing politics don't get in the way. Prediction, Mares by UD, he has looked fantastic in his last two bouts against Morel and Agbeko, winning landslide decisions. Neither are natural 122lbers so I don't think size will be a factor just the Mexican may be a bit too gritty for the Panamanian. Alex's Special Fight Review, a 5 star fight.

Interesting that the Abner Mares fight starts at 3am, Cleverly is apparently in the ring at 1pm.

I think Moreno is going to out box him and win a decision.

Very possible, I think a lot will be BoxNations Buncey build up, possible the Cleverly fight isn't even broadcast in the states? Just highlights later.

Also Mares/Mareno can go either way, tough fight to call but, Mares suprised with how well he did in the rematch with Agbeko, just get a feeling he'll pull this off in a tough contest.

Clev won't be on the Showtime card (I am in Canada and will watch it) I don't think. They will prob piut it on Shoextreme or show highlights later, which for a faux world title fight is evidence of how sh*t this fight is.

Mares is going to be a grand battle. Such a close fight to call. Going for a razor thin MAres pts victory that could be disputed. Home advantage (Mares fights in LA and is kinda local guy) will tell.

Lara fight, how we see this one?

I'll be out tonight so wont catch any of the action which is most annoying, very much looking forward to Mares vs Moreno. Super Bantamweight is the best division in boxing right now with these two, Rigondeaux, Donaire and Nishioka as well as a host of good fighters on a level below the top guys, also they all appear to want to fight each other which is a nice change.

Really hope Lara can get rid of Martirosyan in style so that he can move onto bigger things, notably a big ginger Mexican as that is a fight I would love to see.

Gone with Lara UD, think he's just a bit too classy and a bit too awkward for Martirosyan, who I do think has a massively padded record.

Got to admit I haven't been impressed with Matiroysan one bit and his opposition ha sheen woeful and Lara should be able to beat him fairly comfortably

Mares-Moreno is a great fight and has SD written all over it. Neither hit particularly hard but both at hightly skilled and have very few flaws

Mares is on a bit of a hot streak recently, he has quick hands, great stamina, can box on outside and the inside and the chin and aggression to be entertaining in doing so. Moreno is a lot more awkward and unorthodox to catch cleanly and can make you fight his fight which if accomplished its very hae dto knock him out of his rhythm

I do worry should Lara win (And let's not forget a WBC World Title Eliminator) He doesn't get his shot at Alvarez.

I can't see Alvarez wanting to fight the winner, and GoldenBoy know that they can lose millions and millions should he lose which is a real possibility. They want Mayqeather, Martinez or Cotto which would all (especially floyd and lesser cotto) be huge PPV fights that would dwarf the numbers Alvarez-Lara would make

Best I can see Lara gettting after this is someone like Kirkland. Kirkland has shown enough cracks for Goldenboy to cash in on him, IMO

i actually think alveraz will take the challenge, and beats him (i hope az isnt about), saul doesnt do much wrong these days, good power, great chin, good work rate and not often outboxed either.

Lara gets praise for the Williams fight yet its forgotten how he robbed Molina then bolted for the hills when the asked for a rematch.

Watch the Molina fight and tell me Lara beats Canelo....I can't see it.

I wont defend Clevs opponent. Clev needs to step up I cant agree more. Just this place gets a bit OTT on Clev hating at times. Its the usual suspects though and only a few. I dont come on here much either as busy with the Archaeology. Glad you not full of rage anymore. Maybe we can get on better from now on

I think there cold be an upset. Wlad isn't hurting him with flush shots. Leaves it open to a later round pot shot. Wach is awful though

His last fight was a shutout loss to an 8 fight novice hitch isn't a great sign but he seems quite tough and fairly heavy handed so I doubt clev could hurt let alone stop him as clev lacks any sort of power which is a shame as his stamina means he could have a lot of late stoppages but he will have a lot of 12 rounders in his career
