4 major fights tonight
Hello one and all. Looks like I have found my way on here
3 major fights tonight
Burns vs Lareya
Cotto vs Mayorga
Martinez vs Dzinziruk
Lee vs McEwan
All the fights could be corkers. Sky have Burns' fight and I think as usual the atmosphere will be electric. I suspect Burns will win a tough UD His boxing will be too tough for Lareya.
Cotto Mayorga has been built up to be an absolute cracker because Mayorga has been his usual outrageous self. I think Mayorga's best chance will be to tag Cotto early. I cant see that happening and expect Cotto to run away with it and batter Mayorga to submission by the late rounds.
Martinez vs Dzinziruk will be a very tactiful affair. Martinez will have to go twelve rounds to win this and i believe he will. Dzinziruks jab is apprently one of the best and he may well be able to catch Martinez and cause him problems but I think Martinez's class will win the fight for him.
Good undercard scrap in Lee vs McEwan. The future of the Middleweight division rests really on the shoulders of the guy who wins this and I'm hoping McEwan can come through. The middleweight division is devoid of a great champion at the moment (champion as in one of the four major beltholders) so Lee and McEwan will want to gatecrash the party. Can't call a winner.

I think Cotto and Martinez will both win decisions, but it could be a hard nights work for Martinez especially, Dzinzurek is a good opponent and if Martinez takes him lightly off the back of his easy win over Williams then we could see an upset IMO. Not a gimme for Martinez by any stretch. Burns and Cotto should have enough to get UD's.

Looking forward much more to the martinez fight. Think Dziniruk is a lot better than some people are giving him credit for.

Cracking job by maravilla. He utterly battered dzinzurik, although he did land some shots. The lee mcewan fight was soo unlucky for mcewan, he just gassed.

Very strange end in the Cotto fight. Mayorga quit in the opening stages of the 12th after going down but it looked to me like he hurt his hand.

Re: 4 major fights tonight
Yeah looks like he did although cotto was winning easily. The martinez card was far superior. We had lee mcewan and martinez dzinzurik it was a great card. Foreman looked horrible tonight and the hw undercard wasn't much better. Def not a ppv card.

I did watch the Lee vs Mcewan fight that was a good one. Lee is going to get seriously hurt when he comes up against a puncher. He might have the worst defence since Gatti.

Re: 4 major fights tonight
STRANGE the mayorga getting put on his bum wasn't given the count by the ref, mayorga seems to have played the ref by faking an injury. Reply shows mayorgas fists hitting air followed by a whooping left hook which put him down. Must be bitter getting ko'd and having to give up after all the trash talk.
edited: Ref may have given the count, but it appeared to me that he didn't. Anyone shed some light?
