2013 Mock GM Draft

Anyone fancy having another bash doing a Mock GM draft?

I think Leedscowboys got this going last year, and I found it a great way to learn about upcoming college players and help speed up the long wait until draft day.

I think last year we had over 20 GM's, and a few of us picked for a second team.

Probably best to keep it to just 3 rounds, and hopefully start our draft early March (after the Combine).

I'll stick myself down for the Rams (lots of picks ) but if any Ram fan wants them then i'm happy to swap

If there are any second teams left over I would take one too, considering the Raiders have no second rounder!

I'm up for it. Liked this last year.

3 rounds is good, gives most people a few pick each and allows for a bit of trading up and down.

Was thinking of putting up the thread myself if no-one else did.

One thought I did have was maybe to count the number of picks each team has then if people take on two teams they have two teams with fewer picks and therefore everyone would get around 3-4 picks? They may sound more confusing now I've wrote it out. See sodhat as example though.

Can't decide between the Dolphins or Steelers? Miami has 5 picks in the first three round but I have some interesting picks for Pittsburgh.

You can put me down for the Dolphins for now.

I'd rather take somebody I'm not massively clued up on so I'll wait and see whats left

Good choice JmD, I had the Jets last year (lots of options)!!

Basically when you're on the clock, you select any remaining player who is listed in this years NFL Draft.

Trading is allowed, but only within the 3 rounds.

I don't follow College Football, so i found this a great way of learning about future NFL players.

Decided to go with the Dolphins in the end.

I thought about teams like the Steelers and Chiefs but already had a idea of the picks for each. I haven't looked much at the Dolphins needs past the 1st round so far, so as GSC suggested, I can do a bit more research into the players.

Hoping to equal last year when my four picks were all draft higher in the real thing than I had got them. Think I took Blackmon, Tannehill, Mychal Kendricks and Jamell Fleming for the Redskins.

I'd be up for taking a 2nd team, if needed, but you can put me at the back of the queue as Miami have a few picks.

Da Boys please, also nice to get an early one in as we can do another late march closer to the actual draft and once the F.A frenzy settles, also teams will start to take shape.

Haha. Just looked at last years to see how off I was on Miami. Although I was drafting in the mindset Philbin would get Flynn and forget Tannehill.

I drafted Tannehill for the Redskins last year, thinking he'd be sitting behind Peyton Manning for a couple of years in Washington.

I actually got the Packers #1 pick correct (albeit I traded up to get Nick Perry) and then grabbed a bargain David Wilson late on in the second

Yep, that'll do for me, I'll happily take the Jags. Stick my name next to them please. Should be fun picking at the top of each round and I'll need to go and do my homework on them.

its basically a mock draft Bull, but you only get to pick for your designated team(s)

sp, as long as you know the needs etc.. of your chosen team, and have a basic idea of who is in the draft, then its down to you to pick the right player for your team when you are on the clock
