Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Haye will knock him out early, probably in 2 rounds.
I always think when watching Fury that he makes a lot of mistakes and he's lucky that he's still fighting people that he can get away with these mistakes against. Haye will capitalise early.
I like Fury and think he's a character that boxing needs but fighting Haye, or anyone at that level, isn't going to end well for him.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
This fight is primarily happening because Fury is a "character" and in rankings can just about be justified.
Borderline reality TV stuff - the gypsy angle is very good for the PR.
No way is he close to being as talented as Haye.
Price is a far better technician, but not as marketable. Had Price not lost, Fury would still have been the more lucrative option.
Can't blame either of them. More bums on seats, more PPV, $$$$
The script will be to talk Fury up massively so that people think the fight is actually very even......

This is END OF LINE for Fury. He has been fighting BUMS so far. Haye is going to expose this CHUMP for how bad he is that he could Furys CAREER! Even the BUMS Fury has been facing have been close to beating him!!! This is gonna be like Peter McNeeley against Tyson!! They are cashing in on this FRAUD!

Any news on what Channel this is going to be shown on
Hearn said on the Sky Sports web page that's its almost done so it seems like its him and not Hennessey (thank god) that's making this happen so you'd imagine it'll be on Sky
Sky PPV?

Nothing against Fury, but unlike others I just don't see anything special about him, big fella but that's it for me, not a good boxer, poor defence, not a great chin, nothing about him,if Haye loses to a pudding like Fury he should emigrate in shame.

Would not rule it out onetwo. Will be on at sensible time for the UK which will help and both fighters, whatever their faults have enough mouth to really sell a fight. This will do huge numbers.

At the the time it was Hatton v Mayweather. Did over a million Sky Box Office buys. Can think of a bigger fight since. Haye v Wlad probably did well.

Sky are risking another public backlash if this fight turns out to be anything like the Audley v Haye fiasco.
They need a good undercard when the main event in this instance is potentially a damp squib.

Looks like Sky PPV is back.... Despite supposedly being cancelled.
It should just be a sky sports fight, but I guess the model isn't broken.
Probably spells the end of C5/ Hennessy link, however.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Think the only real risk in this one is of Haye taking him out early. For all Fury's faults he comes to fight so is not going to show the same commitment to pacifism Audley did.
To be honest though Eddie has the stable now to really stack a card if he wishes. Would love him to do this, could be a hell of a way to underline his position as the UK's top promoter, could also take the sting out of the inevitable criticism the crepping return of PPV will inevitably cause.

Froch Kessler II was PPV.
I'm not a fan of Haye's pre-fight antics, but I can see it paying off for him here. Fury will fall for it and come fight night he will be a mental wreck. He'll come out swinging and get put away inside three rounds.

I think Haye rubs his hands with glee at this one. He is so much better than anything Fury has faced and he knows how to throw a hard shot. I can see this fight being no more than 3 rounds long. Haye will make Fury look very very limited indeed.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Fury has potential, but is sloppy, chinny and has only survived thus far because he's been up against c-list fighters who haven't been able to capitalise on his flaws. Haye is another class and, IMO, will have him out of there within three rounds, regardless of whether or not Fury fights circumspect. Haye finds and exploits openings and, with Fury, there are many.

I don't think fury has the out and out power to trouble haye's less than cast iron chin. Same can't be said about haye. Fury is screwed.
Haye should have been taking these kind of fights in his career, tall men that come to fight, it would have served him better in building valuable experience going into a kbros fight. Audley and valuev, were about as much use as preparation as Adam both walking around on stilts. What a Muppet.

I'm definitely one of those who subscribe to the theory that Fury will always sell because people want to see him get beat, but where is Haye's ambition? Another horrendous mismatch like Audley and Chisora. If all Haye feels he need to achieve is punching out noisy losers then he should just work the doors in a club.

If you're looking for a guy who will get the crowd shouting "TIIIMBEEEERRRRR" as he crashes to the canvas, then yes, Fury is ideal. Outside of that, no he isn't.
I fully expect the usual Anti-Haye backlash with STRONGY being head cheerleader as usual.
If the unthinkable happens and Haye loses then he deserves all the ridicule he'll undoubtedly get...and I will join in. Get beaten by Wlad, fair enough...get beaten by Fury, unforgiveable.
There's no way a fighter with Haye's ability and pedigree should ever lose to a fighter like Fury.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Fury is good opponent in that he'll sell tickets...that's it. Fury is not a good opponent in that he has nothing in his arsenal to trouble Haye or at best, he lacks the ability to utilise any of his physical advantages effectively and the fight will do nothing to advance Haye's claims that he can beat (or at least be more competitive against)Wlad.
To be fair, anyone Haye faces outside of Wlad or Vitali is going to be met with derision on this forum. (Anyone dares mention Wilder will get a slap you bandwaggoning ninnys)

Fury has the heart of a champion because he has been knocked down twice and still got up to win. It means he wants to win and has courage and determination.
Haye has been knocked down by Thompson and never got up from it but I think Haye has the tools to win with his speed and power.I am sure Haye will knock Fury down but Fury will get up because he has fighting pride.

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
Haye got up against Thompson and was stopped on his feet, gassed-out as far as I can recall. Agree that Fury has heart though, it just doesn't do you much good if you’re disconnected from the requisite faculties to display it.
As far as ring rust goes, he didn't show much of it against Chisora, and that was after a 12 months out. But, might take a while to find his rhythm, that’s why I've gone for a 3rd round stoppage, and not earlier TBH.

Haye was stopped on his feet, towel comes in and Haye tries to throw a right hand when the ref grabs him,so Haye didn't get up,there must have been a Haye v Thompson 2 I haven't seen or heard about.

I think there were rumours that Tony Thompson did, but I think TT denied it. He said they were offering him a bonus, should he be able to spark Haye - an incentive for him to give Haye 's defence a proper workout, I presume. Not sure how much truth there is to either claim though.

Dave I don't need to cheerlead. People can see this is a dud fight and as such Haye is a fraud.
Salvador Dali said 'A man's genius is measured in his gold'. Haye must be a genius. Personally as a supporter of boxing I prefer to see fighters that challenge themselves. As a fight fan I do not care what type of house a fighter lives, what kind of car they drive or how much is in their bank account. What I want is good match-ups not some crap dressed up and served on PPV.

Haye has been a waste of space at heavyweight
Says he is going to save Heavyweight boxing then signs to fight Audley Harrison
Slates The Klit bros for 3 years then when he gets a shot at Wlad he bottles it and blames his toe
He did give us those wars with Dereck Chisora and Monte Barrett to be fair though

Re: Haye vs Fury.......good sources....
So Haye is a fraud but Fury isn't after withdrawing from a final eliminator to face the K's that he had significantly more chance of winning than this one? Strange.
For me, Haye beats Charr, beats Fury, Pulev, Thompson, Adamek, Povetkin or anyone of the other contenders you may care to name. He's good enough to do it...and with relative ease. Whether he's good enough to beat the K's or whether he'll ever get another chance to prove it is the only matter worthy of debate.
Fact remains that whatever he does, you will continue to label him a fraud whilst throwing your weight behind clowns like Fury.

I have never suggested that Fury was anything other than an accident waiting to happen.
Haye will fight any British bum he thinks he can make money off. That's all it is for Haye, dirty cash. If you as a fight fan are happy with that then I suggest you get out of that filing room you work in a little more often.

I'm seeing Haye at odds of 1/6 to win.
Fury at 7/2.
The bookmakers see Haye as a big odds on favourite.
I agree with them.

So Wach, Pianeta, Mormeck etc were challenges?
Interesting giving the K boys have also accumulated a great deal of "gold" in their careers. Pair of geniuses, those boys. Dali would be proud would he not?

People love to jump in there with the old 'he doesn't belong anywhere near the top 10', but then when you challenge them to name 10 better fighters in the division they struggle.
There are only a few boxers that you can reasonably even consider putting in front of Fury now that he's KO'd Cunningham and beaten Chisora
W.Klitschko
V.Klitschko
Povetkin
Pulev
Adamek
Chagaev (if he's still even boxing)
Thompson (at a push)
Bermane Stiverne (at a big push)
Like it or not Fury is a solid top ten, pushing top five HW in this day and age. I don't rate him at all, but it's good to see Haye fighting his way up by taking on ranked opponents. If he KOs Fury, he deserves credit.

It's not about weights it's about considering him a serious contender (as some seem to do on here) when there's plenty of evidence to suggest he's not.
In fact I wouldn't even put Fury on a level with the likes of Michael Grant.
Some people talk about how Haye should be ashamed of himself for fleecing the public with this joke of a fight when I think more poeple should be ashamed of themselves for throwing their weight behind the joke of a fighter that is Tyson Fury.
His "amiable bumbling oaf" persona is destined to be as grating as Hatton's "I'm a man of the people (that's people who are on speaking terms with Russell Crowe" schtick
