I thought he was going to fight Kimbo Slice? And then it was going to be Steve Collins. Now he's going to fight some fake BA Baracus guy? Jesus...

Is RJJ now desperate for cash? Why else would he be involved in this?

I hope he gets the stuffing knocked out of him like he normally does. Sooner or later he will have to wake up and smell the coffee as Truss so nicely puts it.

If Roy wins then unfortunately it will prolong an already ruined career.

Well I'm glad he's not fighting Steve Collins. On the other hand, why? He's one of the better HBO pundits, but he seems to he hell bent on getting himself eff'd up.

Pointless fight, Rampage (as Jackson is commonly known) is a faded star MMA who's lost his last 3 and RJJ is even more faded!

There was talk for a long time about Anderson Silva (the MMA P4P no.1 albeit recently got KO'd being a complete idiot!) fighting him but never gathered any real weight.

Even a past it RJJ should box circles round Rampage and shouldn't be PPV!

Jones always seem to be involved in these circus fights that never materialise. Cant believe this would do ppv.

shot v shotter this, rampage for a while now has been all about his fists. and can pack a serious punch with the 6oz gloves but certainly wouldnt be a match for any decent boxer as he's pretty crude. this current version of roy jones isnt exactly a decent boxer anymore though so tough to know what will happen. still got to fancy jones on points (sadly)

Reading the article in the OP it looks like Rampage still has enough credibility to make some coin from his name. That's the only way it's PPV.

Jackson is a nasty specimen so it would be funny if Roy beat him up.

I think the reason this is ppv is because its the only way to gurantee both fighters a good payday, in Rampage's case a career high. It's going to be hyped to the max, two 'greats' colide, boxing vs mma etc, one for the haters/huggers on either side to feast on. Rampage's only hope is to land early. he does have the power to ko Jones but not the ability or the stamina to beat him over the distance. Pretty poor from Jones to be honest but what can you do.

Be better if we had GSP vs Mayweather.

Weight classes in MMA are completely different.

GSP is WW but that's 170ibs

MMA is good in that there are far fewer divisions:

125ibs
135ibs
145ibs
155ibs
170ibs
185ibs
205ibs
206-265ibs

Jackson is a 205ib fighter and cuts weight to make it so if no weight Minot would be around 220-230ibs

GSP Mayweather woudl be pointless boxingwise, for starters Welterweights in the UFc are at a totally different weight and for seconds he would get outboxed so badly it would be embarassing.
