surrey vs kent spitfires FLT20

Surrey have named a fourteen man squad for this evening’s Friends Life T20 game against the Kent Spitfires at the Kia Oval.
Ricky Ponting     and Kevin O’Brien are both named in the squad for the final time before they both head to the West Indies to play in the new Caribbean Premier League. Ponting will have a late fitness test on the groin strain that kept him out of last night’s game against the Middlesex Panthers. Rory Burns comes into the squad for this evening’s game

Who do you guys think Ponting should replace? Solanki, Wilson or Davies?

Shelsey - tricky. Possibly Wilson although I'm not convinced that Ponting will play.

If Ponting does play, one other possibility could be to rest Tremlett and go in with one less bowler than last night.

Dreadful last over from Mahmood. Now the middle order collapse again. If we lose this from where they were after 19 overs it will be a disaster.

Disaster averted thanks to the big hitting of Mahmood and the clear thinkng of Ansari.

Stuart Meaker was riding shotgun with Churchy and referred to Mahmood running a two, thus: ''He needs the turning area of the QE2.''

Remarkable game.  Excellent to see Ansari in the thick of it again. 

just back from the game excellent bowling from nora and jade. harmison and stevens didn't have a clue against his slower ball. apart from the last over why harmison came in before jones is a mystery which probally cost kent the game.
after a great 5 overs stevens came on and does what he always seems to do to surrey.
the two irishmen got out to two awful shots roy had a hit a six and a single why o'brien felt he had to go big was madness.sadly wilson after failing with a reverse sweep done the same thing next ball and was plumb.when roy got out slog sweeping i feared the game was up but son of boris and azhar rode their luck(both dropped by stevens) and saw us home.
quarter finals here we come  

QF place not completely assured.  If we implode against Essex - which has been known - and Middlesex win last game we could still end up 4th in the South Group, but we are certainly well placed.
