Smart tactics by Wlad/Haye subdued!

Have you ever disliked someone so much that you go the extra yard to disrespect them? Haye has for the last 3 years has shouted from the rooftops his disapproval of Wlad and has let the WORLD know just what he thinks of him. Haye has been so aggressive in his approach to landing a fight with either Klitschko that he has over stepped the line in many ways to prove his point. Yet if you watched the recent presser in Hamburg you would have seen Wlad turn the tables on Haye in such a clever way that it seems to be working as Haye was not his usual self with the confidence and bravado. Wlad has simply opted to play the wiser, classier, gentleman champion even offering Haye compliments and praise. Wlad at 1 point offered to shake Haye's hand but Haye refused after looking confused at the gesture. Wlad has gained a lot of followers now who will be on his side for this fight. Haye would have hoped for an angry Wlad but got a cool and calculated opponent in return.

The thing I always say would be Wlad's most dangerous weapon is that he and his brother are not STUPID at all. They are thinking fighters and will be aware of Haye's tricks before the fight. For me it seems that Haye has dug himself a very big hole indeed whilst for Wlad it looks like buisness as usual.

Wlad putting on the charm and winning fans even in Britain.

Haye wants Wlad to get angry and if he doesn't Haye will be frustrated.

Haye has to keep his hatred of Wlad up, which will add extra pressure, yet Wlad remains cool. At first he was angry with Haye but has now surprised Haye.

I dont really know how much this pr stuff matters when the two face each other eventually but I would have to say that at the moment Wlad is coming across as more relaxed and getting the better of it.

Haye seems to have gone all out to try and expose Wlad as being this boring guy with no personality but it hasnt really been working because I think Wlad comes across very well in the media. Far from the boring robot Haye is trying to make him out to be.

At times Haye seems torn between trying to be the bad guy and the good guy. I think he wants to be the charismatic good guy who is out to save boxing for the sake of the fans but hes finding that hard to do against Wlad because he comes across as a good guy.

I dont honestly think it will matter a great deal come fight night in terms of who wins but I would I expect Wlad to win over a few more fans even in Britain. Most armchair fans wouldnt know much about him before this and have probably bought into the idea hes this monosylabic android that Haye has been trying to make him out to be. I think over the course of the promotional tours this will be seen as not the case at all and Wlads conduct and personality will win him over more fans.

I think Haye has crossed the line of no return with Wlad in terms of PR. Haye has set out his stall and is selling this Wlad is a fraud/robot theme to all who will listen but Wlad does not seem too concerned. Wlad will come across as the pro champion everyone likes and another thought just occured to me. This fight is happening at the same time the Klitschko movie is being releases. I think Wlad is selling himself as this articulate charming man for the general public but in the ring he will be as aggressive and damaging as possible.

Haye has a lot to think about.

I doubt they pay much attention to the pre fight hype. On fight night its eyes on the ring.

I get the impression Haye is trying to tone down some of his 'antics', because people complained last time.

Haye should of shook Wlad's hand he looked like a tool when he didn't. He also went on Sky Sports news and stated that he neve respected Wlad he had to earn his respect. Poor comments in my opinion. I've never found Wlad boring he comes across as a charming guy although his brother can be a bit dull.

Don't think any of this stuff will have much of an affect on the fght but if it does it will be Haye it affects imo. He might want Wlad to bite and get angry post fight but I don't see that happening which might frustrate Haye and make him a bit more gung ho and open in the fight but probably not.

Haye is the type of guy who is good to watch on TV, but you would hate if they were your friend. He would always being the annoying show off causing trouble. Wlad would be the exact opposite.

its one thing to come acorss well in the media buts its another thing entertaining the fans inside the ring and thats where haye has the advantage over wlad.

wlad has always come across well outside the ring but then bores you to tears inside it. whether or not you like haye at least he's exciting

I think Wlad was trying to be too nice and friendly while Haye was trying to look unconcerned. All very strange.

Don't think these additional mind games will have any bearing on the result.
