V2's Favourite Fighters
Based on the not entirely scientific method of seeing who has had the most views in the now long forgotten "Career In Video" section, here is the definitive list of the boxing board's top ten most popular fighters.
1. Naseem Hamed
2. David Haye
3. Carl Froch
4. Chris Eubank Jr
5. Tyson Fury
6. Panomroonglek Kratingdaenggym
7. Roy Jones Jr
8. Roberto Duran
9. Joe Calzaghe
10. Audley Harrison
A few surprises there, the infrequently mentioned Thai legend Panomroonglek "Fist Of The Stone Castle" Kratingdaenggym gate-crashing the top ten being the biggest, Floyd Mayweather being just edged out of the top ten by Audley, and perhaps Eubank Jr is a little higher than his fledgling career warrants, but apart from that I can't really fault the list.
Thoughts?

Haha Audley Harrison?!
I think that sums up how much people hate him and enjoy seeing him smashed in.
It says a lot that Mayweather is ousted by Audley haha

Two of the top three are reasonably accurate for me. Would have thought Harry greb may have sneaked into the top ten.

Re: V2's Favourite Fighters
Clearly more about excitement than out and out popularity obvs.
Floyd's fights are often pretty dull affairs, hence the low ranking. Whereas Fraudley's a boobie we all love to see knocked out, hence the high ranking.
JC's are probably all Steffan.

Yeh i can imagine steffan watching every JC fight over and over hence the high ranking.
Id also say Strongback got Haye in there based on his complete affection for him.

Greb came in 13th Jeff, just behind Mayweather and SRL.Rowley wrote:Two of the top three are reasonably accurate for me. Would have thought Harry greb may have sneaked into the top ten.

Can't believe Peter Jackson didn't make it despite there being no footage of him whatsoever.

That was me. I asked you to do a 'career in video' for him for ages until you finally relented. At which point I spent a hour at home, whilst Mrs Windows was watching Lewis, clicking on his thread over and over again. Out of the 728 views he has had, I estimate that 700 of them were me.Union Cane wrote:Based on the not entirely scientific method of seeing who has had the most views in the now long forgotten "Career In Video" section, here is the definitive list of the boxing board's top ten most popular fighters.
6. Panomroonglek Kratingdaenggym

It was much more fun than it sounds.

I think no 6 is easily explained. Truss regularly types 'fist' into Internet search engines in order to watch videos. It would seem a beefsters needs can't always be met from a night at the Oyster. Easy to forget which site you're on during a jd fuelled midlife crisis.

There is hardly a wealth for Greb but it did not prevent him making the top 15. Shows Harry is more popular than Jackson, and that right there is science that proves that so can't be argued with.DAVE667 wrote:Can't believe Peter Jackson didn't make it despite there being no footage of him whatsoever.

Nope, it genuinely was me, milky. T-Bone is not to blame for this one.milkyboy wrote:I think no 6 is easily explained. Tyson Fury's ability to give and take a punch didn't make the list?

I'm confused.
Are you saying that Tyson Fury should be on the list?

Based on the number of views Fury punching himself in the face has got then yes he should be up there with Audley.
I know your number of views system was based on your Career in Video series, I have bent the rules slightly, I know this can upset guys with BSA so I apologise.
