Post by ComeBackKings Sat 26 Oct 2013, 8:52 am

First topic message reminder :

Please be aware that this week's fixture are as follows:

Stoke City v West Bromwich
Sunderland v Norwich
Aston Villa v Fulham
Newcastle Utd v Crystal Palace
West Ham Utd v Cardiff City

Please PM Hero the following (if you are playing myself then PM Nando) before the end of Friday:

1. A easy to read team sheet eg:

-----------------------De Gea------------------
Rafael----------Ferdinand---Vidic-----------Evra
----------------Carrick---Fellaini----------------
Zaha---------------Rooney--------------Kagawa
-------------------Van Persie-------------------

2. A list of 7 substitutes eg: Lindegaard, Fabio, Jones, Young, Hernandez, Welbeck, Cleverley.

3. A list of 3 injuries (not applicable in week 1) eg: Giggs, Smalling, Valencia

4. Clear tactics in a bullet point format, we advise a minimum of five lines and a maximum of ten eg:

GK - Be vocal, communicate with your defensive line at all times, instruct them at set pieces and look to catch the ball rather than punch it, look to release early onto the flanks for counter attacks.
FBs - Keep any wingers on the outside, stay on your feet and block crosses, come forward down the flank when available
CBs - Man mark the strikers, keep goal side and time tackles
CMs - Look to pressurise early, spread the ball across the pitch and dictate the pace of the game
WGs - Work with our FBs to double up down the flanks and whip balls into the box, mix it up by coming inside and dribbling into the box, look to go down easy.
SS - Play between the midfield and the main striker, link up play, hang just outside the box when there's period of pressure and look for loose balls
ST - Hang on the shoulder of the deepest CB and look to drag them out of position, anticipate the ball and look to burst into the box for crosses or one-twos.

These shall then be posted on the board and results will be posted on Monday.

Villa 1-3 West Ham
(Benteke - Cisse, Ba, Vaz Te)
Far too attacking from Villa leaves huge gaps for West Ham to exploit. West ham need to look at improving other areas not just up front if they're going to genuinely challenge for the title.

Sunderland 0-0 Cardiff
Really hard to call, the line up of Sunderland with no strikers but playing with speed merchants across the midfield against a side which is defending and going for the counter with pace abuse as well seems to nullify each other as each side goes for quick assaults but neither really over stretching themselves.

Stoke 1-1 Palace
(Finnbogason - Rhodes)
Palace starting to bring in some bigger guns and with a well balanced team they deserve their first point of the season, given a bit more instruction and a win could be on the cards soon, for Stoke I'd be looking to improve on the wings although Assaidi's RL goal v Chelsea is raising his stock.

Norwich 2-1 Fulham
(Redmond, Wolfswinkel - Kasami)
Got to give the win to Norwich this week, they seem to want the victory more and going forward the options look more threatening

West Brom 0-2 Newcastle
(Morrison, Delph)
With the lack of central midfielders for Brom they're simply overrun for possession.
