Re: surrey vs somerset T20 Blast
Thanks, JimBob. At least one of your teams has won some silverware this season! :
I reckon Ansari will replace Burns - he seemed a bit of a spare part on Friday going in after Peterson and batting at 8, only being required to face one ball. Possibly Dunn to come in for Kapil - should strengthen the bowling options although Smith will need to watch better the penalties for a slow over rate.
Surprised Curran is still involved. He's in the middle of exams. Must affect his concentration on the game.
Lose this one and it's a long way back ....

Jason Roy should open the batting for England.

137/4 after 16. Fear we're not going to get enough with it being a small boundary and batting day ....

Tailed off towards the end, gotta think that's below par at Taunton

Dirk Nannes didn't bowl very well.
Surrey may have enough, early wickets are key and don't let Dernbach bowl the final over.

20/30 runs short. Really slowed down into the back end of the innings.
Nick, no he shouldn't....

I think he is class Jim! Him and Hales opening up could work.

He shows flashes off class, but think there would be quite a few ahead of him.

Not convinced by this WASP thing.
I've said for about 4 years that Roy is a massive batting talent and stand by that. Tremendously powerful hitter. He does though need to bring greater concentration and consistency to his game. Also, he's an outstanding fielder. You guys could do a lot worse than having him in your Dream Team.

Re: surrey vs somerset T20 Blast
Very naive batting from Compton, got to give yourself a chance to get these runs, silly batting
Impressed by young Curran, went for a few off his first over and came back to bowl his next three at a run a ball and picked up a wicket. Shows good mental resilience.
Ansari bowled beautifully as well

Olly - yes, I like Ansari. Clever thinking cricketer, calm and unflappable. Decent bat as well - plays according to the circumstances and team needs; often like a rock in CC cricket but can get on with it in the ond day game. A mistake imo for him to go in after Peterson.

Re: surrey vs somerset T20 Blast
This time Dernbach's final over a good deal more economical....
Good contributions from Curran and Ansari helped rein back the scoring after Somerset threatened to run away with the match. Interesting how both teams tailed off in the second part of their innings.
Like Guildford, I'm pleased to see le Roi putting together some scores.

Re: surrey vs somerset T20 Blast
Came back well there. Thought we were 20 runs light. Lot of media concentration on Dernbach's last over but the main damage had been done by then - great effort by Ansari in particular. Curran's raw but - as Olly said - stuck at it and came back well.
Still things to learn and improve but we'll certainly take that result!
