It was Oscar's diving that created the contact so was still simulation and still worthy of a yellow card.

I agree. Football is a contact sport. A penalty could just as easily been given for no contact if a reckless challenge is made that prevents the player from going forward. Ie they have to dive to get out of the way/ are unbalanced.

The difference with Oscar was he had stopped running and was going down before he had got to Blind. Take Blind away and Oscar would have still have gone down.

Clearly there was an agenda to get this Brazil side to the semi finals, they got there and they were definitely found out by far superior teams.
