JJ is England's best 13 by a distance. I know Manu is a battering ram but as an all rounder JJ is far far better.

Could have been yellow. I think clancy was so determined to to be influenced by the home crowd he erred the other way

Really impressed with Thomas at the scrum this season. Come on massively (I thought it back in the 6N but he seems to have improved again). Joseph should be in the 6N squad. Should have been in the AI squad but can't remember if he was injured.

May have had a problem for first game. however i seem to remember him being in the extended squad and released every Tuesday.HammerofThunor wrote:Joseph should be in the 6N squad. Should have been in the AI squad but can't remember if he was injured.
On current form he is scintillating, where he looked like he would be back in 2012. However his last season at LI and first at Bath were not at all good. Would quite like to see Ford, Burrell or Barritt (Burritt?), and Joseph lineup vs Wales.

If they keep the squad largely the same Bath are going to be one hell of an outfit next season.

If that was a yellow card, Flood surely should have seen a yellow card earlier? That one was shown in slow-mo so the ref can't possibly have missed it? Maybe it was a yellow card for Banahan, but I really don't appreciate simulation in rugby. Stand up and be a man, don't cry out like a footballer and don't pretend you are hurt when you are not!

One of the most complete performance I have seen from an English team away in Europe. Well done Bath. Toulouse were poor though.

Re: BATH RUGBY - 2014/15
LT, Burrell and Joesph would be my preferred.
Cumbria , for that we need the discipline structure not to take into account reaction to an act. So if you punch someone in the face you treated the same regardless of whether they collapse or not. At the minute it's not the case so players are encouraged to make the most of contact (which is exactly how it started in football/soccer). But stuff like Huget's effort has to be stamped on...hard. If you can see that there was issue (clutching your face where you were hit elsewhere) they HAVE to be banned for a long time.

Re: BATH RUGBY - 2014/15
Pretty unreal to go down to Toulouse and get a win like that, I can't really believe it!
If Joseph doesn't make the England squad now then frankly he never will, he is playing so well at the moment.
Bring on next week, we owe Glasgow a performance...

I am very much afraid that based on the respective teams performances since the game at Scotstoun, there is only going to be one winner - and it won't be the visiting hordes from Caledonia. But hopefully it wil be a good game - both sides can play a bit if they want to.

Some of the best attacking rugby I've seen in well... ever!
A nice bit of revenge on Glasgow next please.

If you want bang crash wallop, he won't make it. It'll be a classic case of English defence first mentality, sadly.

Well done Bath.
Great performance from 1-23.
Personally I thought man of the match was Garvey - definitely has put his hands up for England selection in my opinion with that performance.

What are the thoughts on Yoann Huget? Good player but shouldn't resort to play acting to try and get penalties. I would hope the powers that be take a very dim view and ban him but more than likely won't happen. I can find a link direct to the video but it can be found on this site...

Disgraceful playacting by Huget - should be banned for bringing the game into disrepute.
As for how long I don't know. Minimum 4 weeks though in my opinion.

I really must have a Garvey blind spot as I just do not see it. Felt Louw was far superior as a back rower and was really impressed with the amount of tackling Fearns managed in just 30 minutes, but did think Garvey looked much better when he moved to second row though.
