US Open Day 13 Saturday The Men's Semis
First topic message reminder :
Well, it's all pointing to a Djoko-Fed final. But can Cilic or Nishikori spring a surprise ? Interesting that, after Fed, Cilic has won the most matches this season. Kei has had two exhausting five-setters but has not had to play since Wednesday, which should be a help.
Some interesting thoughts on another post about the improvement in Cilic's serving. He'll need to do well in that area if he wants to win today.
I think I'm going to plump for a Nole-Rog final. Should Fed win today it would the first season since 2009 he's reached more than one GS final.

Re: US Open Day 13 Saturday The Men's Semis
Novak needs to be careful here...if this set continues to fly by relatively easily for Kei, then he could sustain the momentum into the next set. He needs to put in a big effort to try and stop the serve-out, and make Nishikori think about who he's playing.
Damn, I like both players a lot so not sure who I want to win this. I really like Kei, but the Novak-Federer matchup is my favourite on tour. Argh!

He is mentally very strong these days atleast since the days of Chang as his coach, otherwise how would he have beat a Fed twice?

All I can say is Nole got a very stressful service motion, he puts a lot of stress on his Back, not sure how he hasn't injured his back yet.

Yes if Cilic/ Kei final, for Cilic here too, say 40% for Cilic and 60% because of Goran

Two sets in under 70 minutes? I was hoping for a long and grueling 5.5 hour match in hot and humid NYC with Kei prevailing 7:6 in the 5th.
