Great write-up here:

"CARSON, Calif. - The sun over Southern California climbed out of the mountains Saturday morning on its journey into the Pacific. Under that slow-burning arc smog blurred the horizon, traffic blurred time, hikers pounded the trails of Runyon Canyon, lifers pounded the pavement of Skid Row. And when the sun finally set over StubHub Center in Carson, California, another equally predictable event transpired: Gennady Golovkin knocked out Marco Antonio Rubio in two rounds."

Wonder why people are happy to see this guy fight crap and yet Cotto and the rest get hammered for it...

Guess it's because he's a crowd pleaser.. ....

Nos he's become marketable there is no excuse...

After all If the top heavies all burst a gut for a payday with Iron Mike....

Then the top middles won't duck Charlie boy for a decent check..

Let's see what he's made of... I think he's the real deal but he isn't young..

His age is the only slight concern. He is definitely the real deal. I think it will take a real special talent to beat him at middleweight. He is so patient and hits that hard.

Like I have accuratly stated before....

GGG is doing NOTHING different to what Julian Jackson did in the mid 80's early 90's.

Everyone wants to see him fight Cotto, Chavez, Canelo (should he move up), Froch and Ward yet, for as long as those fights remain out of his grasp, people are just happy to see him fight. Chavez and Cotto have deals on the table (Froch has apparently been offered the fight also).

He fights regularly, is boxing's most exciting performer and continues to do away with normally sturdy men (such as Geale, Macklin and Rubio) with consumate ease. He's the most electrifying performer since Tyson emerged in the late 80's. He's also seems a cool guy outside the ring, which doesn't hurt in a world of Broner vids and Fury pressers.

I heard a rumour that he is younger?

Like the Samuel Etoo scandal or Obafemi Martins....

He certainly looks younger

He does look younger. Don't think he's much younger, mind you, but he doesnt look like it's even realistic for him to have been 22 in the 2004 Olympics.

Seriously? He's 32 and looks it? Why would a coach lie about being older? Younger, yes (iin the late 80's and early 90's people used to joke about travelling families entering fellas in the school boys), but never older.
