The first two I've heard...

We haven't really signed anyone of note yet, but there certainly is a big clear out of players.

Does make you wonder if it was us that was over the cap in previous years and now we're having to reduce the squad. Or we're just getting rid of a load of players to sign higher quality ones.

Don't it we had bigger name squad before and hadn't really had a clear out.

Geoff Parling to Exeter Chiefs confirmed apparently to join up with his old mate Waldrom. 

Bredon Leonard has also signed to the Ospreys for next season

Olly Woodburn has joined Exeter from Bath

So which AP team is going to sign Tim Visser? Heavily rumoured to be going, club legend and I'd be sorry to see him leave, but might be the right time for him.

Sale and Wasps ATM are the main ones.

I'd imagine Falcons & Sale with him possibly keeping roots North of the border. Do Wasps need him?

Rumours are that Tom Price the Tigers academy product who won the JWC with England is off to the Scarlets as he's Welsh qualified.

The first choice pairing for that JWC were Barrow & Stookes with Price backing up. Barrow is a regular at Falcons and Stookes get a fair amount of game time at Gloucester, has Price seen any top level rugby bar LV?

No but he did suffer a neck injury last season playing for the first team. He's been a regular in the A league and it was assumed his role would be bigger next season. If the WRU have identified him as a future Welsh international then the Scarlets move could have been attractive.

How many Welsh locks are their in the clubs aged 25 and under?

Personally I wouldn't want Visser back. We are well stocked in that department.

I wouldn't be impressed if my club had worked with a young lad who's broke his neck then shifts off to Wales at the drop of a hat because of limited gametime in the seniors???

I also really think once you've played in the U20's you've put your hat in for that country and shouldn't be allowed to change country. Makes a mockery.

When he's bloomin fit he is sarge....and Stookes is having second season syndrome I think.

Stookes has slipped off, I'd have Barrow ahead of him.

It's hardly surprising Price is off though, can you blame him? He's seeing similar level players getting regular game time/experience. The A league is sub standard to say the least, that's no way to develop.

Tigers need to change their priorities imo. They bring in an American lock and lose a U20 WC winner.

Price is more than 16 stone now. Even so he's still an athletic line out style lock. Peterson has been brought in because we are suffering with so many injuries to our second row brutes.

So does Max Lahiff coming back to the UK signal the end of any ambitions to play with the Wallabies, and would that mean that he might be on England's radar?

Or is he not up to that standard?

Given our current loosehead stocks, if he was good enough to challenge for England I reckon he would be starting for Oz!

Alex Waller? He may not shave yet and looks like he left school last week and still sings in the church choir. But he is really 22 or there abouts and not many of his oponents this year have gone home happy.

Agreed, its like we've hit a goldmine in the props, with Cole, Wilson, Brookes, Thomas, Sinckler, Collier, S Wilson etc all around the England squads at tighthead

And to think we were starting Tim Payne, Darren Crompton, Perry Freshwater and Jason Hobson as props not so long ago

Scott Wilson is miles away from England, He's scrumaging is well off par.

Wasn't he in a Saxons squad last season? Going by that measure alone

He was but only to tie him to England with Scotland looking at him. He needs a lot of work but he has bags of potential.

Balmain has come on nicely though. He's a big unit to boot. At 23 he's starting to show a nice all round game and some strength in the scrum.
