Planned Wrestlemania Main event? *possible spoiler*

According to a person who spoke directly to Vince McMahon this past week, Wade Barrett vs. The Undertaker is currently penciled in as the main event for WrestleMania XXVII.

Barring a setback in recovery, it's now considered a lock that The Undertaker will work WrestleMania since WWE announced him for AXXESS, which takes place the day before the pay-per-view event.

Only way that could be anything but a horrendous end to Mania is for Barrett to win.

So Taker gets the main event of Mania again over a title match? total bull for me, the royal rumble winners fued should headline Mania, WWE still say that advertising the rumble right 'if they win the rumble they get the chance to headline Wrestlemania'

Could be that either Taker or Barrett win at the Rumble then the other wins the Elimination Chamber PPV?

find that unlikely as Taker has only just been thought of as a definite for Mania let alone going through an elimination chamber as there is surely no way he can be back in time for the rumble and then put the schedule time in until Mania considering it would be Barrett his fued would be with

The Rumble though is a match that can be got through with an injury. All that is needed is the ability to clothesline or chokeslam guys over the top rope. He comes in at number 30 and he's only got a 5 min match which the other guys will be doing the most work.

I would much prefer HHH v Taker.

I can see The Undertaker v Wade Barret being A main-event at Wrestlemania 27 but not THE main-event at Wrestlemania 27.

No way will this match go on last.

especially of they end up going with Cena Vs Orton for the WWE title

I’m just wondering if they are actually going to push the button on the mother of all shocks and have the streak end.
The card for Mania is more than likely be the weakest for star names in years. It’s becoming increasingly likely that Taker’s days in the ring are numbered and the clamour has always been there that if anyone was to end the streak it should be an upcoming star rather than the likes of a Cena, Orton or HHH.
What would get people talking about Mania 27 afterwards? Another Orton v Cena match?
Or the streak coming to an end?

That’s perhaps why they may be going with Barrett v Taker as the main event?

i think that Alberto Del Rio may win the world title from Edge at Mania as if they want to keep Edge face its either Del Rio or Barrett as potential opponents imo.

I don't think the streak will ever be ended a dvd of 20-0 will sell

Could there be a Del Rio vs. Taker feud? If Taker and Del Rio were last two left, Taker then chokeslams Del Rio over the ropes. After Del Rio claiming it was his "Destiny" to win the rumble, he vows to come after taker and end his streak at WM. Del Rio wins at Elimination Chamber, winning a title in the process and going against Taker in a huge main event at WM for the title. But their match would have some sort of huge stipulation...
