What's happened to Mikey Garcia?

Hi All,

Been reading on here for a while and did post a bit back in the days of Sheep (wish that was still going! ) so thought I'd put a topic up.

Mikey Garcia hasn't fought for well over a year now, and the latest I saw was there was talk of him moving up to 140 pounds, with a potential fight in March or April this year, but obviously that's been and gone now.

Does anyone know what's happened to him?

He comes from Oxnard, to brings us joy
He's 5 foot 7, he's boxing heaven
So please dont take, our Mickey away.....

Not heard from him in a little while, not sure if he's got promotional issues but hopefully he will be back soon. One of my favourite active fighters.

Reckon Arum feeds him to Crawford upon his return. Arum knows he potentially has the next US star in Crawford and a win against Garcia would put him top 10 p4p with many

Massive talent, I even had him on the cusp of Top 10 p4p at one point, but he's thrown it all away it seems.

He is talented.............Maybe he has personal problems.........

Think there were promotional issues, from memory.....

I really liked Garcia, great balance, jab, power and a good ring IQ. Thought he was gonna be too small to become mainstream but hes got a decent frame and word is he wants to go to 140. Think hes too small for 140.

If its true about Crawford fight then i think he loses tht one, crawford can box as well as Mikey but is bigger and more athletic.

Hopefully he can get back in the spotlight, would love to see him vs Gamboa to see where hes at and compare him to crawford. Think that of his power doesnt carry them gamboa would beat him, too fast and wont get into a war like he did against crawford

Although I rate both very highly. i don't thin Arum would risked matching both of them up together. I didnt even know Mickey was with Arum.
