JD - how did George Edwards look? At Surrey he had pace and there were high hopes for him at one time but competition for places and alleged character issues saw him move on.

Was impressed by Edwards, Guildford. Bowled some great slower balls and kept things very tight at the end of the innings

Yep. Like Jimbo says, he bowled very, very well at the end of the innings in tandem with Faulkner. Think the Yorkies only took 20 off the last 15 balls, which was the difference in the end. Added in him getting the big wicket of Maxwell in the second over (after Glenn had taken 17 off 1), he had a very good game. Wasn't much sign of the pace I had heard about though, was struggling to get it above 80 often in his first spell. Looked fairly immobile in the field, whilst not a reason for getting rid, it doesn't help your cause (especially in LO cricket) when there is competition for places.

Darren Sammy 36 off 16 balls, not out. Why on earth is he only coming in at 7?

Don't get bringing in your best hitters so late in T20

Probably because he has the freedom to do that at the end of an innings.

Was at the Rose Bowl last night. Poor performance from us with the bat, we were about 25-30 short on that pitch.

Fair play to Sussex though, Cachopa played a brilliant innings.

Just watching the highlights of the T20 earlier, and Oli Stone looks like a prospect. Mediocre stats so far in his career, but he bowled sharply (consistently around 87-89mph) and at 21 has plenty of time to improve. One to keep an eye on.

NORWICH'S OWN OLLY STONE THANK YOU JDIZZLE

(Saw him at Horsford before he got signed for Northants, he was bowling upwards of 80 mph at 16..,)

So we've had the two best t20 batsmen in the world playing and scoring an innings of over 150* - barely anybody would've seen them.

Current format and coverage is a complete nonsense

Not sure you can argue Brendan should be on TV over a Roses game, like it or not the Roses game is still a huge event and it was a fantastic game with over 400 runs being scored.

Not arguing that - I'm arguing why they can't have a stream online for every game. Pretty much every other sport can do it - they have the cameras at the ground anyways

Well went to the Rose Bowl last night. Another shambles. Started quite well, Bird very expensive again, Briggs 2-13 off 3 overs! 3! A few people around us as bemused as us!

Batting collapse again despite a very solid start. Rudolph 2-8 off 2 overs sums it up tbh. That's 5 straight defeats in all comps.

I see BMccullum went bonkers last night. I'm with Olly, how are we unable to see an innings like that! Surely they could provide a highlights package on sky? Rather than just 3 of his shots on sky sports news with a wobbly camera!

A good win for Kent, stopping Sussex's brilliant run. Surrey smash the whipping boys of the South Group, Middlesex.

SamB looked good tonight both with the bat and gloves. Not so sure about his "rapport" with the coach or the "sledging" of Allenby. He obviously has a high opinion of himself but that self confidence is something that top sportsmen must have.

Yeah it's good to see Dolly back in. Been scoring a lot of runs for the 2's, with a nice 50 against Warwickshire in the previous T20 game, but more pleasing to see him contributing significantly with the ball.
