Wlad v Tyson Empty Wlad v Tyson

Post by spencerclarke Wed 11 Nov 2015, 7:39 am

Morning all,

Just seen a clip for the 'gloves are off' for Monday. Looks very interesting as they both come face to face with Johnny Nelson asking the questions.

Just wondering if you think in any way can this fight add to Wlad's legacy if he wins? I think it should as Fury is something different than he has fought before but as most don't rate him much on these boards that Wlad is probably in a no win situation. On the flip side average joe will probably give him credit as they are sold a different story on Fury.

Thoughts?

Cheers

Morning Spence

Can't really see Wlad getting any credit for winning this one. It is probably a joke fight all over Europe and America too. That isn't to say Fury does not deserve his shot; he deserves it every bit as much as anyone else around. But unless it is a right ding dong of a fight, then Wlad will just be seen as picking up a cheque.

Only way it adds to Wlad's legacy is if he climbs off the canvas and snatches victory from the jaws of defeat. The sun even shines on a dog's ar$e some days but outside of a once-in-a-lifetime bolt from the blue, I can't see Fury coming close.

Climbing off the deck will only add to Wlad's legacy as he's never looked close to hitting the deck for a decade. Even then, if he does suffer a KD it'll be easy to say that it's more to do with age and motivation that Fury's actual ability. As much as I dislike the robotic plodder, he's infinitely preferable to the slob that is Tyson Fury

It would probably dent it if he gets knocked down or loses. If he wins he does what was expected....beats a useless loaf of a "boxer" that is only entertaining because of his antics outside of the ring and sometimes in it (self uppercut, Ali shuffles and singing post fight). Lest be honest here....he isn't very good. At all. He is big, has heart.....That's it. Wlad in 6 and I expect nothing less nothing more....Wouldn't be surprised to see it end really early....

Remember Klitschsko has also done the infamous self-uppercut

I'll be paying for this one....Wlad had a chin I wouldn't be..

I'd love it If Fury beat him but also would find it amusing after all Fury's trash talk If he was face down in the first..

Unless it's a stinker which stylistically I doubt..Then I win either way !!

Besides I love the heavies and these two will be in shape I imagine.

Fury is going to be much better than usual.might not win, but I don't think he is just coming for a pay cheque.

I don't know why, but I lime Fury.

I think it'll be an entertaining fight. Wlad will bring his jab and grab routine, but I think furys size will mean Wlad isn't as safe at distance as he normally is. Beside fury will be looking to engage from the off. Looking forward to it.

I'm looking forward to seeing Tyson literally knocked out cold. Anything less and I'll be gutted.

Fury rightly said he has more punch variety than Klitschko and he is quite nimble on his feet as well.

Worry I have is Klitschko will land and that will be that, he is most dangerous when under threat, might be the same as Pulev.

Mind you he might be like he was against Povetkin and in which case Fury has a chance

Wlad could wade in round 1 and demolish fury in seconds. There is no question Wlad has the power and ability, but can't see him changing a habit of a lifetime. Jab and grab, get him late.

I just hope it's a fight, at least at some point. Smart money says it's another borefest. With the likely outcome of fury face down half an hour later, revived to give a crazy interview to close the show.

If the images of Fury headbutting a watermelon (don't ask) are indicative of anything, the guy will look as disgusting as he usually does. Wlad, again, looks in tremendous nick.
