Lomachenko Vs Nicolas Walters - Done Deal

I'm sure you're all excited about the Joshua Vs Martin fight being announced, but this one got me too, according to Walters' promoter the fight is basically signed.

Walters is big tall and rangy with knockout power but didn't look great in his last fight and Lomachenko is meant to be the bees knees. Who wins?

I fancy Lomo for this.....What a career...doesn't mess about..

Think size got him home on Donaire, back Loma to win this (maybe even LKO).

It's a tough, big test for Lomachenko to see if he can overcome the physicality that did for him against Salido, no doubting his boxing ability but I do like Walters in this one.

Somehow missed this amongst the who owns which boxer bitching yesterday.

Hugely excited. Fancy Walters in this but not saying that with much confidence.

Loma has some seriously big heavy balls, refreshing to hold and cradle in a world where the best spend more time fighting patsies rather than the other best guys around them.

Walters' last two opponents have gone 12, one of them getting a fairly ridiculous draw. If you asked people after the donaire fight, he'd probably be a pretty warm favourite for this but I imagine it'll be seen as a pickem.

This fight gives me wood. Loma for me in this, I think Donaire would have had Walters out of there if it wasn't for the massive size difference, a fresher more light footed like Loma I think will give him all sorts of problems.

Think Loma will win this very comfortably. Just don't think Walters is quick enough to trouble him.

Shame most so called boxing fans would rather talk about a celebrity boxer saying something stupid than they would talk about a genuinely exciting fight

I think Loma takes this, I question Walters power, since he KOed two people who were at a massive size disadvantage

Despite Arum saying this being virtually a done deal, I've heard nothing more on this. Seeing as it's taking so long I'm thinking this fight may not go on. We know Walters struggles to make Feather...

Cant seem to find out, if it's just FW the odds tip into Loma's favour massively you feel. Then again Salido didn't bother making weight and went onto beat Loma so could be a repeat!

Supposedly the fight will be held at 130! Superfeatherweight. Loma has some nuts, not even tried to drain Walters, gone up to face him, can't help but like his style.

Loma has a massive set, no doubt, leading light in boxing right now. Like Donaire on drug testing a while back.

From what i read from uncle bob last week, they'd agreed the deal but not finalised the weight. Either 126 or 130 if walters couldn't make 126.  Good to see that attitude to be honest... agree the fight first, and not get hung up about the weight. Realistically, that was always going to mean super-feather though... which is fair enough, walters has been there for a few years.

Have to admire the attitude of loma... clearly backs himself. Really interesting fight.
