That should be a good move for everyone.GeordieFalcon wrote:Hastings from Bath to Glasgow confirmed....

I like it. I also like that Blackadder was supportive of the move for the player's sake.

It will be good for the team and the player - but I haven't seen anything formal as yet! Any link?

Glad you think that about Schatz GC. I haven't seen much of him other than highlights reels, from which he looks solid but unspectacular.

Not as high profile/splashy as Pooper, as mad looking as Higginbotham and not as fashionable as Gill or Dennis but he absolutely works his arse off and teams with him in them tend to win.SirBurger wrote:Glad you think that about Schatz GC. Newcastle with another signing announcement tomorrow.
Probably DTH van der Merve...or that big French LH from Lyon.

Jim Hamilton says on his podcast that Danny Care has a clause in his contract allowing him to go if O'Shea left Quins.
I see earlier in this thread that Mike Brown might have something similar.
Hamilton has no idea where he might go, but Andy Goode thinks Saints might be an option if he does want to leave.

It'd be a good fit for Madigan and Northampton. He might not have fulfilled his promise yet but he's still a better 10 than most others going.
That would fit with the probability Saints have tried, and failed, to get Jackson.
With JJ as well they clearly have a hankering for an Irish 10

Rob Miller? Maybe not a kicking machine but can play 10 although more of a 15 and can kick for the sticks if required. Has dropped to 3rd choice at Wasps although no shame in being behind Beale and Le Roux.formerly known as Sam wrote:Welly wrote: Not joking
He'll be very expensive, miss a third of the season with England and can only play in the one position. I was hoping for a 10/15 option who could ideally kick like a machine.

That would fit with Saints previous signings, always looking for a more attacking 10 to go along side Myler in the squad. Gerahty, Lamb and Hanrahan were all successful in that sense....geoff999rugby wrote:king_carlos wrote:Ian Madigan to Saints is doing the rounds again/still.

I've got a lot of time for Miller, he'd be a very good signing. At 27 he's around peak age and has lots of experience as well as about five years left in the tank.

Yeah, I'd be happy with him at Saints too. Not quite international quality so you don't lose him for a 3rd of the season, decent but not bank breaking wages and good in attack and defense. At the age where he needs to be playing regular, guess it depends on who Wasps retain for next year but at least he now lives in the right part of the county for a move to another midlands side.formerly known as Sam wrote:I've got a lot of time for Miller, he'd be a very good signing. Callum Gibbins confirmed to Glasgow Warriors from Hurricanes.
Excellent signing for Glasgow. He's a top player and has the physicality and work rate to make the transition to forward based NH competitions.

Given the number if handling errors made by Beale at the weekend I would imagine Miller is making a case to Dai Young for more regular game time. He does lack that X factor in attack but he's quick enough and is very good tactically. Be interesting to see of le Roux is at 15 for Wasps this weekend.

Watson an odd signing for Wasps.
Him and Wade in the same side could get seriously targeted defensively. be good to watch in attack though.

I'd say he was a better defender than Wade (not too hard), but see your point. Watson, Wade, Daly, Eastmond, Cips, Simpson........there's some defensive rocks there!

Yeah Watson and Harris confirmed to Wasps. No surprise about Watson...suspect that's been a done deal for quite a while. Harris is an odd one. Came here with great hope and barely featured in a single game. And with him going....
I suspect Sami Mavinga will be announced shortly. LH prop from Lyon...a beast. Will work well with Chisanga being switched to LH prop also!

Saints were asking about Jackson before any of the above - he was first choice.

Just saying, this 'linked' thing is largely nonsense. Perhaps his agent wants to suggest competition to negotiate a larger salary.

So another club man - I don't remember him standing out in other matches.Fluxy wrote:Phil Swainston joins Quins from Wasps.
A tighthead - No doubt filling in for Sinkler when away and covering for Collier (injured). We cant still expect Jones to carry the scrum for another season!

Understood but Saints definitely made an approach via Ulster to talk to Paddy Jackson in October.
The contact came from Saints not Jackson, or his Agent.

He was recently at Wasps on loan & obviously impressed Dai who thinks he has potential. I'd be surprised if he was wrong. TJ Harris the other signing will add to our already strong bunch of hookers. I suspect Dai is looking at losing TT to England in the not too distant......

Wasps have signed Fijian centre Gaby Lovobaluva for next season.
I can't say I know anything about him but he's got plenty of experience at international and club level. Seems a solid signing to replace other squad centres who will be on the way out.

If Doncaster can give him chances Kibirige WILL score tries. Hes quality and crazyily quick. Us fans are a little confused why he is not getting gametime for us...but with Goneva pulling up trees and Sinotti seemingly back to his best its understandable.

He is decent but with Lewington, Cokanasiga, Ransom and Tikorotuma, we are well stocked at wing ourselves.
