Yep luck plays a part and I had a few giant killers you wouldn't bet on me to do. It isn't just tactics of course but also what traits you look for in the players you buy. That's where I feel I have done well too.

Definitely - it's the same with actual football, there's randomness and luck on a game by game basis, but over a season the table usually reflects the best/worst well

I feel like I am crawling to the finish line. I had a bit of a gap a few weeks back. Lost my way a bit. I just want to be still in the hunt by the final week.

It's like with the World Cup Predictions game. I am top but got both semi finals wrong so think I'm 2nd now. I just fall at the final hurdle!

Also me v Bam this week and I have Bale out who's easily been my best player this season (and possibly the best player in the league I'd argue).

Not done a lot so far, which reminds me too much of Koeman's first summer when everyone came in at the last minute.

Clearing out has started though, with Funes Mori and Rooney sold, Robles released and Bolasie looking like he is all but gone to Turkey on loan. All good moves IMO if we replace. With the money we now spend, we need to have high ambitions (whether we achieve them or not, we need to aim high) and none of those players will be good enough for where we want to get.

Only have Twist, Bam's and Afro's tictacs in at present, also I'm out a fair bit this weekend so matches will be done as and when I can.

How does it work if a formation I want to use isn't on the pre-selected formations list?

I fancy a 3-3-1-3 style system with what I have available, but nothing comes close on the formations page.

I can manually move people into that for you!

If you send me a visual image of your formation I'll try and get it as close as I can. Mention what position each of them are.

You could be opening a can of worms here!! You might end up manually moving people around for everyone, every week!
