Maitland is proving himself indispensable as a player. Not only solid and reliable but just excellent support and all round play. Darcy has already proved it should have been him against ireland.

I have to say if Samoa get through this game without a card I’ll be astounded. The tackles are getting more and more erratic

Mmm I'd give them a B minus considering conditions. But no disrespect intended, Samoa aren't the same beast they were so its easier to look good against them.

I agree Ritchie has done well, I'd add Bradbury to that mix too. He's playing like he's got a point to prove.

Decent half - if we keep this up it should be a comfortable BP win.

If we don't we just need to look at the last two games against them to know what happens!

Bradbury's carry just before HT (when it looked liked he knocked on) was huge

Well looks likd the changes Toonie made hsve worked well

The back row have been immense, Bradbury carrying well and Ritchie just everywhere

Someone needs to give Russell something for his hands at half time. He is constantly miss handling the slippy ball. Wonder if the finger tape would help, he is really struggling.
Pity they didn’t score at the end but it became so ponderous it was easy to defend.

Real question will be. With Samoa having one foot in the departure lounge, will they now just play hard ball, as if they do, may be worth Scotland making sure they protect some of their game players for the final game against Japan, as that looks like winner taking all.

Not sure why we want for the push at that scrum - we're jsut going to scrum again to set up the platform for the backs
