First topic message reminder :
Another chat thread dedicated to speculation, rumination, and general perambulation through the trials and tribulations of the club from the west with no forwards and the club from the east without a backs coach.
One day we'll have more rugby to talk about!

I hope so, otherwise it's a real waste of Horne's talent.

That's a good bit of business, and makes sense for Price to leave at the end of his contract. Dobie looks like he could be the best of the lot, makes no sense for 3* players of that quality to be at the same club.

Well we are going to be pretty good at SH next year, just need to pad out the rest of the squad a bit now!

In the earlier discussions around HJ leaving Glasgow for LI, one of the quoted reasons for him wanting to head back down south was to be nearer his family who live in Kent.
Yet reading this article, it appears his family are all now in Scotland, his parents having retired to Linlithgow.
Read into that what you might?
He does also go out of his way to deny speculation about moving and to say how much he has enjoyed and found his identity in being able to put down roots in Glasgow.
I am not holding my breath, but could he be staying?

In a way, it is great that G Horne appears to be emulating his brother in becoming a potential one club man at the fringes of the national squad. It is a shame for Scotland as he has the talent to be much more and he blocks a talented youngster in Dobie assuming he is able to stay second option.
It could also mean Price or Dobie are on their way out.
H Jones staying would be great as long as there is money to spend on some loose forwards. We have one of the weakest back row stables in the Pro 14 and have at least two talented youngsters who play 13/15 coming through in Smith and Melville. H Jones is a special player but he needs a platform on which to work with.
