Interesting so it's ok to make head on head contact as long as you absorb the power from the ball carrier.

I don't agree with it at all but yes pretty much. The stupidity of that to me is it greatly relies on the tackler and carrier i.e. you have Tuilagi running at you 99% of the time the tackler is going backwards.

TBH, I thought the same when it happened. Turned out he is now a doubt for the 6 nations opener due to poor tackling position.

Just shows the inconsistency in the league as in the Ospreys v Scarlets game there were 2 cars (one of each colour) for similar offences. Granted Lezana's red was because it was a 'dominant' tackle but still shows that there are still consistency issues.
